Pea makes me really dislike Raven. I know how ridiculous that sounds, I do. But I look at Raven and am just repulsed by this brat of a child. She even looks spiteful. And it isn't just Peas fault, it's everyone who doesn't say a word about it - Dean, friends, family...
She's so eager to detach from Ember but can't even comprehend the idea of being away from Raven. The night she had Ember, grandma had to sleep in their rancid sleep space. A normal set up would be for Raven to have slept at grandma's - or is that just me? She's made such a show of breastfeeding Raven for all this time but already wants to wean Ember at what, a week old? She just doesn't seem to love the new baby even half as much as Raven, she's presenting Ember like an inconvenience. Urgh she was crying downstairs. How dare she be hungry for Raven's milk? Oh FFS, she woke Raven, let's foist her off on Dean. She should be bleeping ashamed. And I don't think it's all about grief at all, she was joined at the hip with Raven from day one and I would've thought the first baby after loss would be the hardest to bond with?

Correct me on anything I'm ignorant to because I've not experienced loss, I have one child, I'm not crunchy etc. Just saying what I see. And that is that Nicola is a prick and Dean is the biggest wet wipe there is, Raven is a little tit and Ember is all but neglected right now.
I know exactly what you mean. Raven is one of those kids that even the other parents of her nursery children will dislike! She needs yanking off Peas tit, and needs to hear the word no.

agree with every single word you’ve said and I couldn’t have written it better myself! I also have the same views of Raven and she TOTALLY looks spiteful! I can imaging her hitting and biting other kids at school 🤬
Well she’s already hitting nursery staff isn’t she. I worry what R could do to the baby if Pea’s back is turned.

It isn’t gentle parenting to let your child have everything they want.
I’d say I was pretty gentle and my kid gets told no on a daily basis. She’ll never learn to deal with disappointment or frustration. It’s setting her up for failure.

Wonder what’s with the radio silence today. I reckon she’s been reading the thread and is wondering how best to play it.

Didn’t see this shared on last thread, but apologies if I missed it.
So even before Ember was born she was planning on focusing her time, effort and breasts on Queen Raven!!
So shocked at this!! It’s like the new baby is just an inconvenience.

Poor Ember. Thats all i can say. At least she has her dad, he may be able to have a relationship with her though, unlike R. Im actually disgusted with the comment where she let Ember cry out for a feed, days old, while her 3.5 yo sucks on her tit, taking all of the much needed supply of milk that SHOULD be for her newborn. She needs serious help, and Dean needs to grow a pair and tell Nicola the baby should be priority for feeding!!

She is so fixated about keeping everything normal for Raven that she is sacrificing her relationship with Ember. To be fair Ember is far too little to remember this stage. The positive side is that ember will get to socialise early with her family. She can spend the afternoon with someone who wont be sticking their phone in her face and actually get interaction. I can only really see the positives, the less time she spends with that overbearing Pea mother, the more she wont become like Raven!!

I don't think we need to worry about whether or not their particular sleep set up is safer because there isn't any sleeping going on - that's the problem!

She is, which awful.

But it’s not about whether or not the baby will remember though. There will be some seriously fucked up dynamics in that family if R remains the golden child and the baby stays second fiddle. It happens more often than you think.

An acquaintance of mine on social media has twins and one is so obviously her favourite. When they were babies, her and her partner used to take care of one each, and it’s kind of stayed that way ever since.

Love that she has to clarify the bottle will contain expressed breastmilk. Can't have any crunchy parents thinking she might be using formula, heaven forbid ;)

It really irks me when I see people not supporting their babies head, especially when they’re in wraps!

Jesus Christ. Support your child’s bleeping head in the wrap, you absolute weapon.

The videos she posts like that where the camera is on her, then pans to the baby/Raven/her tits or whatever, then back to her are so odd. She always looks so creepy and smug.

I'm disgusted by that screen shot.
Queen R takes precedent again.
I agree with others, I know it's weird to say but I really dislike R. She just looks like a little tit and it's not her fault but there it is.
My daughter was 4 in December and she can be savage, but she's empathic, kind, respectful and polite, because I've taught her to be.
Pea hasn't taught r Any of the skills she needs as she grows up.
That poor baby, I'd kill for a 2nd but am now infertile and this just breaks my heart
