Thank you @Peakyblinders for the title of this new thread with 21 votes.

Just noticed the spelling mistake I made in the title. Sorry about that. Unsure how to change it.

Just have to comment...co sleeping can be safe but their set up isn't. Cot bumpers are NOT safe sleeping...even air mesh ones..

Didn’t see this shared on last thread, but apologies if I missed it.
So even before Ember was born she was planning on focusing her time, effort and breasts on Queen Raven!!
I did not see this on the last thread, missed it if it was. So R can have breast but baby can't?? Thought she was all for tandem BF. I just feel for sorry for little baby E.

Omg this is absolutely awful. I don’t care about breastfeeding, I don’t plan to breastfeed and I hate the whole “breast is best” thing: but WOW why has she even bothered having another baby? When all of her attention and love is clearly taken up by Raven. Feel sorry for this baby already I do.

Recap from previous thread:
- Raven is still a brat
- Raven is still breastfeeding at age 21
- dean is still wearing the same hat
- pea is still a twit.
- oh.... and she’s had a baby called ember but you wouldn’t really know as it’s all about QUEEN RAVEN

Wow, I am shocked at that. P would never in a million years have considered giving R a bottle of expressed milk.

And all because she wants to focus on child #1.

I really think she needs counselling. She’s been detached from this baby from the start.

So Raven has never left the house without Pea in 3.5 years but she’s happy for Ember to disappear as soon as shes left the womb, with a bottle of expressed milk no less. It’s really hard to feel sympathy for her when she’s acting like a total tool.

My heart breaks for Ember.
How can you be ok with having one child that has to be fed to sleep, has never slept away from the home, only away from Nicola when at nursery and won't let dad do anything at 3.5 years old. To openly saying that I'm going to unnecessarily give my newborn a bottle and deprive her of a feed to ensure my eldest is happy constantly. The umbilical cord was cut 3.5 years ago Nicola, you need to ease off!!!

Wow. I remember 5 or more essays of hers declaring ‘I won’t leave my daughter unless I absolutely have to’ ‘I won’t apologise for not wanting to be away from Raven’ etc... she’d never have given Raven a bottle.

Also - the word nurseling makes my teeth itch.

Does anybody know them in real life? My husband categorically would not let me so blatantly favour one child over the other and ultimately, he loves the kids more than me (as do any parents) so would not let me mistreat any of them. I just can’t understand why nothing is being said to her except all this platinum boobies, your amazing mama bullshit!

At first I was going to stick up for her and say.. well giving a bottle of expressed milk is absolutely fine if she needs to take R to nursery. But then I thought hang on, if she is leaving the bottle for someone else to give her like grandma. Then grandma can surely take R to nursery while she feeds at home and has a rest that’s the easiest option. When I had my second baby, other mums on the school run were lovely and offered to take and bring my first child home. When husband was home he would go get first child from school etc. Because I was needed at home during those first few weeks to constantly feed. She needs to let other people do stuff for her. Even during the pandemic, if you have a baby you are allowed an extra support bubble. Her mum/a friend etc could take r to nursery while she rested.

There is nothing wrong (under normal circumstances) about giving your baby a bottle of expressed milk (or formula) but yet again it’s so that Raven comes first.
Also has she ever expressed before? It’s incredibly time consuming and she’s already got her hands full feeding two children.

I also flirted with the thought “well she’s maybe trying not to make the same mistakes again, and trying to get Ember more socialised with her family than Raven was etc”

however, she continues to treat Raven exactly the same. There’s ZERO effort or intent to change anything with the Queen.
This plan isn’t to help Dean be more involved with Ember, it’s solely to allow Nicola to pander to Ravens every whim.

I think her behaviour is shocking and, like others have said, I hope she realises this herself.

Why not just give bloody queen R a drink of milk before bed? Voila problem solved.

Pea makes me really dislike Raven. I know how ridiculous that sounds, I do. But I look at Raven and am just repulsed by this brat of a child. She even looks spiteful. And it isn't just Peas fault, it's everyone who doesn't say a word about it - Dean, friends, family...
She's so eager to detach from Ember but can't even comprehend the idea of being away from Raven. The night she had Ember, grandma had to sleep in their rancid sleep space. A normal set up would be for Raven to have slept at grandma's - or is that just me? She's made such a show of breastfeeding Raven for all this time but already wants to wean Ember at what, a week old? She just doesn't seem to love the new baby even half as much as Raven, she's presenting Ember like an inconvenience. Urgh she was crying downstairs. How dare she be hungry for Raven's milk? Oh FFS, she woke Raven, let's foist her off on Dean. She should be bleeping ashamed. And I don't think it's all about grief at all, she was joined at the hip with Raven from day one and I would've thought the first baby after loss would be the hardest to bond with?

Correct me on anything I'm ignorant to because I've not experienced loss, I have one child, I'm not crunchy etc. Just saying what I see. And that is that Nicola is a prick and Dean is the biggest wet wipe there is, Raven is a little tit and Ember is all but neglected right now.

I said it in the last thread and will say it again the new baby is gonna be Matilda, outcast, pouring her own breakfast at 9months, cooking herself a fry up because she’s sick of eating slop at 1 yr old.

Matilda makes me cry 😂 I hope this isn't the case but I can see it. I also can see it being Nicola and Raven, Dean and Ember and the sisters never properly getting along.

What’s even worse is she’s making zero effort to hide it on social media. It’s all going to be there for Ember to see when she’s older 😢

agree with every single word you’ve said and I couldn’t have written it better myself! I also have the same views of Raven and she TOTALLY looks spiteful! I can imaging her hitting and biting other kids at school 🤬

Well we already know she's 'hitty' and 'throwy'... She's a little hole. I have a boy who's literally days older than Raven and he has his moments, I'm not blind to his arseholeness, but if he behaved like she does 99% of the time, I'd be absolutely mortified. Then again, he's heard the word 'no' before.
