Well sadly there’s not enough people who care about neglect of a dog, as there is nothing illegal about what he is doing, nor is there an agency who can stop him.

The ‘animal welfare act 2006’ says this illegal to cause unnecessary suffering to a dog by leaving it alone for prolonged periods of time.

If it is howling like you say then it is in some kind of distress. I would point this out to the council or other animal welfare authorities or point this out to your neighbour.

Get in touch with your local MP for them to get involved, you neighbour clearly couldn’t care less about the dog so I’d be telling anyone and everyone what he’s doing.

People are crazy for dogs, it won’t be long before you get someone’s ears to wick up.

Endlessly. The MP didn’t reply but my local councillor said she walked past and couldn’t hear anything. And that was the end of that.

Although I have noticed it’s getting less as the weeks go on. Reminds me of the Romanian orphanages or the NSPCC adverts, when they just stop bothering.

The council have already “investigated” and closed the case.

Keep raising complaints. Ask to escalate it if they close it and keep sending them your noise diary and recordings. Unfortunately, you have to be really persistent with this stuff, annoying as it is. I really feel for you, you sound so beaten down over it.

Id be reporting to the RSPCA, repeatedly until they do something to help the poor dog.

The rspca are bloody useless. Never known them do anything about anything

Just wanted to let anyone know who has nosey neighbors & wants window privacy, there are lots of privacy window films on Amazon & other places. Not just the mirror type that only works during day time. These ones work day & night. There are frosted films that still let light in but gives privacy. All these ones let the sun light in but just give more privacy. There is also stain glass looking types, pretty rainbow broken glass types, & other pretty decorative patterns. They are super easy to put up too. I got the rainbow glass bits type and put it up myself, & I have MS so seriously if I could manage it then anyone could do it.

I really want to get something like this but my husband won't agree to the mirrored type (which would be my preference as its basically like having nets up) and I worry the other kinds will stop the cat watching the world go by.... And tbh when there's drama outside I wanna be able to have a nosey

Lol I did leave a little gap in mine at the bottom so my cats could look out

Neighbour a few doors away. Teenage daughter had friends round, really loud music.
At 10.00 it stopped.
Her dad allows her to do that but music stops at 10.00 or she’s not allowed to do it again.
I love that man!
