I hadn’t seen images of the bank before but you’re right, it does seem like a long way down from the top of the bank to the river, it’s not like it’s a slippy river bank. From the image it looks like there’s gradual ‘steps’ in the bank from where quite a few people have gone down there, maybe it was easy to misjudge how close she was getting, how slippy it was etc. I guess if she was looking for something she’d of gone quite close and not just stood on the top bit of the bank.
Even though I know it’s most likely that she somehow had an accident in the water, I’m re-thinking my dog walks. I’m changing the route so I go through the village first before the woods (so CCTV) and I’m going at different times of day. Today I went with a friend, so she knows my route now.
It’s awful that we even consider as the first option that a woman has been abducted or killed.

If she has been abducted then my god talk about wasted time!!!! I really don’t feel in my gut she is in the river!!!!! 
Ooh I didn't see that bit, I only clicked through a few of the links. It isn't suspicious at all, it's just coincidence. Also, most people are quite fond of their partners so don't see bumping them off as the first solution to financial problems.
I'll hold my hands up and say initially I was suspicious about him and that I thought some of his statements were worded a bit unusually. However I changed my mind because the actual things he's said have been very plain and ungarded (the whole family came across like that really) and it's very clear how much he's struggling. He's going to need a lot of support as he supports the children so I hope he has a good network of people around him.
My dog wouldn’t give a tit! He’d just want me to throw the ball! He’d incessantly bark for his ball, I could dragged off in a van and he’d just stand with his ball barking. Now if it was the kids….. that’s a different matter, he’d be straight in
There is no local unease about being abducted or its not safe to walk the streets going on is there ? Media would be on that straight away resurrecting the view women are not safe to walk alone anymore....
So....
Accident or police suspect her fate but current lack of evidence or police absolutely have no idea and its a mystery so far.

I haven’t seen this pic before. I’ve been following the thread, and I have to say, I have agreed that it seems most likely she fell in. But. This image makes it seem really unlikely. The bank is very clear - short grass, no standing weeds/undergrowth to camouflage where the bank starts/ends. Quite a wide section between bench and river, albeit sloping. She knew it well, had wellies on, so not wearing crocs or anything like that which might slip, and the actual bank isn’t as high as I thought either. How on earth would you slip and fall? Even if you were looking into water, you have a clear view of water standing from the bench, you wouldn’t have to go to edge. This image has really thrown me now. How awful, such a beautiful woman. I walk my dog daily, by a river, in middle of nowhere, like many of us. Could be any of us, there but for the grace of god go we!
And if you've been programmed now not to trust anyone a simple dog walk becomes a lesson in being sure of your own safety. . This is all too easily being explained away... even the police are pushing this train of thought.
I really don't think they want to but after a week they are putting out all the right moves to catch the actual culprit.
If the police theory is right I’m so sad for her poor daughters and partner the girls go to school right by there it must be incredibly hard just being in the area. I’d struggle to go back daily after something like this

Police are pushing the narrative of an accident and the perpetrator relaxes a little and slips up....
Looool just to add to the discussion about what everyones dogs would have done if they fell into a river, thinking back to the dog I had as a kid, if he saw me fall into a river he would have 100% ducked off immediately and found some other dogs arses to sniff.

I really do think the police theory is right. But you do just never know.
As for the partner looking like a rabbit in headlights, what do people expect.
I’ve never had a loved one missing, but I have had ‘that’ knock on the door from the police with bad news, and I’m still in ‘rabbit in headlights mode’ like that most days. I imagine it’s a similar feeling.

Exactly....thats why they are insistent she's drowned ... knowing they need the evidence to prove otherwise so won't show their cards until its safe to do so.....Or...quoting my own post here

I’ve not seen it from that view either. Looking at it you would think a healthy, fit woman would be able to get out of there even if she fell in. Maybe she had a medical episode… gosh it really is a mystery.

I’ve laughed nervously when my mum passed away and I held her. I smiled when the doctor came in just because I wanted to be polite. It’s the weirdest thing. You are in total shock, you’ve never experience anything like this and yet you don’t respond all Hollywood which seems to be what some on here expect. I have no idea why I didn’t what I did but there’s no right or wrong. Your mind doesn’t proces it all. But again it seems some people are only satisfied if the husband had re-enacted a dramatic scene from Eastenders.
