I think taking the phone, harness, lead and dry dog back to the bench to stage disappearance is not unthinkable.

Agreed because we only have the caravan lady's word for it that it happened the way she said.
Of course the police will have spoken to them all and confirmed the rushing off for the appointment if it's true. But again I think it brings us back to my previous theory that something is going on in the background.

My lowly Kia does the same I imagine its a feature in lots of relatively new cars? Handy because with kids I quite often forget to lock it (and it messages me to tell me).

Anyway rambling now. I shall go back to lurking (crazy medium chat aside, I enjoy the theories and having somewhere to hear opinions because I can't stop thinking about Nicola either. Every morning I am checking hoping for news). Even my husband has started to say 'what's tattle saying?' when we talk about it.

I don’t think the key to this is with the poor caravan park people who actually found Willow and the phone and alerted Nicola’s partner to the problem.

I agree to be honest. I just think we are all speculating because this is just crazy how this can happen to someone who took that walk regularly. It’s heartbreaking

Yeah I’ve just posted and agree with you..re the dogs/ frost.They did clay pigeon shooting and he used guns regularly so a shot may not have seemed amiss.
I still think it unlikely but all opinions valid at this stage?

There was one review on the caravan park website where one guest said that, about her dogs that had apparently been bothering the free range chickens. Despite having been asked repeatedly to keep them under control.

The caravan park owner wasn’t just randomly wandering around threatening to shoot dogs.

Thinking about her clothing, I was wondering what type of coat she was wearing. Some types (generally more expensive) with certain fillings become waterlogged and very heavy quickly, and would act as a huge weight around a body. Other types with synthetic fillings can trap air and end up acting as a bit of a float. Not that the latter would have helped if someone was drowning, it'd still be cumbersome, but you'd likely see a body surface sooner if wrapped in the latter, than the former iyswim.
