Part of the work from home phenomenon is people joining meetings when out walking/ dog walking. I have a colleague who does it our all firm stand up every Monday morning - it’s a broadcast from the senior leadership team at which none of the rest of us participate or will ever be called to participate. I am usually reading the Daily Mail online at the same time. It’s fully standard remote working behaviour.
100%. But please be careful - my boss once joined our meeting in the bath. Thought his camera was off. It was not. 🥲

After watching the programme last night, I’m leaning toward foul play. I believe the phone was put at a place as a decoy and Nicola may have gone in the river but much, much further away. I don’t believe she went in the river by the bench for one minute now.

Also, the time scales were much different than I thought and a great more amount of time was available to whoever did this.

I absolutely don’t think she has taken her own life and if she did I think she would have made her decision known and not planted the phone and harness. I appreciate that people don’t think rationally but no mother would want her children to never know what happened. Much more likely she’d have left a note. So, I believe third party and she may/may not be still alive. I’m disappointed that the police didn’t widen this much earlier. They’ve messed up in my opinion. With everything that has happened surrounding the police over recent times, they need to be well ahead of their game. Trust has disappeared for many people, myself included.

I’ve actually got a man that stalks me. The police are aware but he is ALWAYS a tad too close to not get in trouble. He’s been given warnings, cbo’s etc but never goes too far. I’ve emailed the head of my police force and I’ve clearly said one day he will go too far. He frightens me to the point that 2 years ago last month, I nearly ended my own life. The pain of knowing that someone wants you gone is frightening. I do things that I shouldn’t just so I feel I have some control. We never know what goes on behind closed doors. Just this morning I’ve shared my location permanently with my son and daughter in law on our phones.

Sorry to offload but I feel this gas helped just typing this out xx

I just have this feeling it will become a cold case, I don’t think they will find her, it will all die down and remain unsolved. Sad, but there’s literally nothing to go on just theories.

At 45 yrs old you're not going to run away and leave your kids or throw yourself into a river because your boyfriend hasn't married you yet.
credit us women with a bit more sense than that, it was just a pointless line of questioning from Dan Walker nothing more.

One of my colleagues was a search and rescue diver for the fire service up until a few years ago. He is an advanced paramedic now. I asked him his opinion on this case. He didn’t know the details in depth, but said that important to remember that in fresh water, such as this particular section of the river that the police are focusing on (or lake water), that a body would sink very quickly and could easily become embedded in metres of silt at the bottom. Which we know now anyway.

He said that unless the river was actually diverted and the silt was searched with rods that there is no way to rule out that she is not in there, but that this is an absolutely massive amount of money and resources and unrealistic. He said potentially you could be trapped under a tree or buried in reeds and if it’s deep and cold you could be almost frozen so would weigh a tonne, so might not necessarily ever float to the surface, as bodies in fresh water tend to become neutrally buoyant after time, which could be days/weeks/months. Which means that they could just lift up enough to flow with the current but never enough to become positively buoyant to float on the surface. This is different in salt water, as a body would rise more to the surface.

He reckons she could be still in there and going out to sea not beyond the realms of possibility but probably too late now to know.

He was also wondering had the big lake in the field close to where she was last seen been searched. I’m not sure if this was searched or not, but it wasn’t searched by Faulding and his sonar which he felt was potentially an oversight.

He feels the police have coordinates or some information to confirm the ‘entry point’ and that’s why the focus is near the bench.

Just thought that might be interesting to some.

FAQ’s and info - please read

Nicola parked at school, dropped her daughters off, and started the walk from there as usual.
Doorbell footage has been shared of her leaving home that morning.

Nicola joined a Teams call but was on mute with her camera off, which was standard for that call. Unfortunately this meant that the other participants did not see or hear anything.
The call ended at 0930 but Nicola did not disconnect from the call.

The photo of the river bank shows the drop down to the water. The police diver had to be helped out by 2 people.

Nicola’s phone, along with her dog Willow’s harness and lead, were found on or near the bench shown in top left of the photo.

There was just 23 minutes between the last sighting (0910) and the phone, harness and lead being found (0933); and just 13 minutes between the phone being at the bench (0920) and being found.

Willow was dry when found so hadn’t been in the water - this does not mean that she did or didn’t see Nicola in the water. It simply means that the dog did not go in.

Willow wasn’t wearing her harness and that was normal on a walk, it was usually removed along with the lead for that part of the walk.

They didn’t usually take a ball but it’s not certain that they didn’t on this day.

Willow was found agitated, running between the bench and gate to the section of the field by the river. This is a small area.

Nicola’s partner was at home, and has never been named as a suspect - this has always been a missing person enquiry.

Nicola’s partner has a business which is shown on Companies House as ‘compulsory strike off’ just after Nicola’s disappearance. This does not in any way suggest financial difficulties. It purely means the company was already in the process of being closed.
He is director of another company which is still trading, and he works in a skilled industry.
It is explained here https://tattle.life/threads/nicola-bulley-missing-4.37193/post-13873756

A helicopter with thermal imaging was deployed the day Nicola went missing, to search above the river.

Lancs Police are using the caravan park as their base. All empty caravans have been searched, as have local empty properties along and near to the riverbank.

Nicola’s family are keeping all possibilities open in the hope of Nicola’s safe return, which is absolutely understandable.

SGI began to assist the search efforts on Monday, with Peter Faulding giving ever-changing updates on when he expects to be able to confirm whether Nicola is or is not in the river. Unfortunately his comments are mostly contradictory and unhelpful.

A GoFundMe page was set up on Monday by a family friend with a target of £100,000. This was quickly changed after social media unrest to £50,000, then £5,000. Shortly after, the page was closed before it raised even £500, and the friend posted on Facebook to state that the family didn’t initially know she was doing it, and she was just trying to help.

Lancs Police gave an update via press conference on Tuesday, confirming that they are still focussing huge resource on the search effort and asking the general public to avoid doing anything to make this any more difficult.

The police have continuously stated that the most likely situation is that Nicola has sadly somehow entered the water, but they remain open to all possibilities and fully investigate all information they receive. There are 40 detectives working on the case.

2 exits from the walking route are not covered by CCTV - the caravan park (camera not working) and the A road. Police are working to contact all drivers to obtain dashcam footage where possible on the A road but there were around 700 drivers to contact.

On Wednesday evening just hours after Lancashire Police asked people not to go searching properties, a live TikTok video was streamed of a user called DanDuffy trying to search the house commonly called 'the abandoned house' which is in fact being renovated.

Update 11th Feb
On the 10th of February, channel 5 aired a hour and 15 minute long special about her disappearance where they spoke at length to her partner Paul. Paul came across as very shell shocked and there are multiple theories over why such as Botox, sedatives, trauma etc. but it’s important to point out that he is not a suspect. Paul and Nicola’s friend Emma are, and have apparently always been “100% convinced” that Nicola is not in the river.

The search now continues in the river (towards Morecambe Bay) but also expands into areas around the river that are not covered by CCTV.

There is still no evidence of, well, anything.

I find it funny that the same people who laugh off the ‘conspiracy theories’ or people posting alternatives views are the same ones banging on that Paul has had Botox 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ the guys every move is being watched, his two girls probably don’t let him out their sight for long considering what’s gone on with their mum.

And I hope to god if I went missing I’d have a friend willing to put themselves out there, support my family and do what they could to find me. She has a very loving and involved friend, she’s a lucky lady to have that.

so if you passed away at 87 you would be happy for your lifetime partner to be addressed as "your boyfriend" at your funeral ?

I think it's a bit sad tbh
Or ‘partner’ could be used? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t think it really matters. Each to their own!

I find the constant slagging off of her pal a little disconcerting to be honest, she’s just a woman who has lost her friend. I’m sure we all have fashion choices that could be picked to shreds if we were on National TV 🙄

What is the big deal with getting married? Why does it offend you how other people address their partners if they choose not to marry??
People have their own reasons not to marry and it's got absolutely nothing to do with anyone else what partner's choose to do in their relationships.

I'm not married to my partner, we have been together 20 years, have 3 kids together and are happy the way we are.

I address him as my partner or other half.

One day away and we’re no longer allowed to slag off eyeliner Emma and I’m going to get judged at my funeral because I can’t be arsed to organise a wedding.

I’m off to count Paul’s wrinkles.
