Back at it again with the attention seeking desperation 🤦🏻‍♀️View attachment 508204View attachment 508205View attachment 508206
As soon as I saw this I knew what it was going to be, but honestly I just don't get why she posted it... I just get the vibe that it was for 'content' .... I know this sounds like I'm a right heartless witch but even in the caption she essentially admitted that they weren't planning pregnancy and she feels fine about it.

I totally get that we need to be reducing stigma around miscarriage but something feels a bit unauthentic to me .... Or someone feel free to tell me I'm being a twit

It is possible to get a false positive pregnancy test, this means that actually when she took that first test she potentially wasn’t “carrying a baby” at all, it could have been purely a false positive result (I got 4 false positive tests once before it was confirmed it was actually negative and the positive tests were caused by a PH imbalance)
It’s not an early miscarriage or a miscarriage at all if you’ve been pregnant for about 5 minutes, sorry if that sounds savage but this girl honestly will just milk anything for sympathy / attention and this is genuinely offensive to those who have actually suffered from a miscarriage (even an early one) because it is a heartbreaking experience!!!

I agree, when i saw the post i just stopped and looked for a while, confused. If they were pregnant, and then she experienced a miscarriage .. you wouldn't then go and just buy a test again. The hormone would likely still be with you for a while. I feel as though she went out and got a test a few weeks after just for the photo? IDK it just rubs me up the wrong way. I know close friends and family members who have suffered terrible loss and spent out thousands and thousands on IVF etc... and her caption was distasteful and a little ignorant.

Also cannot stand the 'hello my beautiful angels omg i love you all so so much' what are you ON ABOUT?! It's INSTAGRAM a place to share a pic of your bloody cat or a nice memory. It's honestly sickening

Not a clue why she posted this. She’s so attention seeking. She’s 100% fine but let’s just post it anyway to upset other people who have been through it and aren’t 100% fine.

I’m not a fan of people sharing their miscarriage stories as a badge of honour and being called “brave” for it.

I had one years ago and at the time, was pretty upset and concerned it was indicative of other problems. I didn’t tell anyone. I didn’t experience any feelings of shame or stigma which is apparently a thing. I just felt sad at a loss and found it a bit difficult to grieve because I don’t think I would’ve wanted the baby (it was with an utter douche of a guy). On one hand I’m maternal and I felt sad, on another hand it wasn’t a good time for me at all to have a kid and I felt relieved.

years later and my skin crawls when I see people post about it, and everyone applauds them for their bravery. For me it just feels weird and uncomfortable. * It was the very last thing I would’ve wanted to do. When I miscarried I absolutely would never have broadcast it to thousands, because it was private*

seeing other women post about it as part of their brand/content just reopens the wound for me if anything. I know it’s normal, I didn’t feel shame or stigma. Can we just grieve like any other loss instead of using it for life experience points to make someone interesting or give them something to post about?

Yep, one of my friends is a Dr and said the stick tests could be very unreliable and random things would make them positive. (Apparently lucozade would make them positive?! As in if you poured it directly on!). Certain brands are more reliable than others.

the best way to know for certain is through a blood test, which I’m assuming Nelly didn’t have as she hasn’t posted a picture or referenced it.

I thought she was harmless before but that post has actively made me go off her. This is what happens I guess when you monetise a hobby and turn it into your full time job. You have to scrap the barrel for content to keep yourself relevant and interesting instead of allowing your content to be organic.

this post feels more like an exercise in the above than anything else and as a woman who has had a miscarriage it really grinds me. Don’t pretend youve gone through the same thing and post it for attention, it just makes a mockery of my experience and others like me.

As someone who has had a miscarriage, the photos of the tests were really difficult to look at. I don't mind people sharing their stories (I'm not going into whether I think hers is true) but the image genuinely made me feel a bit sick and panicky when I saw it.

I was also talking about Nelly with my friends a while ago and one of them pointed out the way she promotes fast fashion with multiple hauls from places like PLT, Misguided etc. Sometimes it feels like it's one a week and they're always £100+ worth of clothes. I don't know whether she gets them gifted/paid for them or whether she buys them herself but it seems irresponsible to be promoted bulk buying of clothes, nevermind the fact that they're not ethically made.

I just have mixed feelings about this, for many women who struggle to get pregnant, seeing that positive then followed by a negative shortly afterwards would be devastating. But this girl clearly states that she wasn't trying, wasn't up nor down about it and like above comments have said, most would have put it down to a false positive first test especially in such a short space of time. I just feel like a lot of these influencers are jumping on the bandwagon with this for the sake of a post and engagement.

Agreed I hate that type of consumerism, and every dress is the “most flattering ever” or the “comfiest ever”. It’s just not what the world wants or needs going forward. Nobody needs a million cheaply made misguided dresses. Sweatshop clothes that destroy the planet are never flattering or comfy

she has promo codes I think so it could be that she makes quite a bit of cash by doing it.

Like I said before, I initially liked Nelly for the body stuff and for being a regular person. Now she’s just another mindless consumer influencer flogging whatever she can to get money. She’s branching out to anything she can because the body image stuff isn’t as lucrative I guess.

I really liked her until I saw that post yesterday. I’ve never been pregnant or had a miscarriage but I instantly thought “wouldn’t that just be a false positive in such a short space of time?!”

I also think I’ve seen her half naked body more than I’ve seen mine.

I started following when I saw refreshing pics of her in the Gym shark ads. Recently though, although I appreciate the body positivity stuff it’s just getting too much. I get it, but it’s becoming borderline narcissistic. And the vaguebooking before the post last night.... 🙄

She is ALWAYS vaguebooking and it’s just so desperate, she is so obviously seeking validation via her Instagram and although she claims she does it to help others, I can’t help but think there is a selfishness in that girl. It is no wonder she doesn’t seem to have any friends, who could be friends with someone that self-involved who is always playing the victim?
The whole “miscarriage” thing was hugely disrespectful to those who have actually been through that trauma.

Hit the nail on the head with this one, thoroughly agree a terribly made £7 Missguided dress will never be comfy or flattering on the boobs. It also annoys me when she promotes these fast fashion brands as she must know that she has a large plus size following or even a following of normal sized woman, and as a curvy woman size 14-16 I cannot wear clothes from Missguided / pretty little thing as they simply are not true to size and don’t fit properly!!
