I work with teenagers and recently came across a boy called

Leee

With three e. Why?! What need is there for that?! I also hate Jordan as they are usually all trouble makers, and Dylan as well.
Imagination fan? There was a Leee in that excellent 80s band.

I dislike specific genres rather than particular names.

Hyphenated names - Sarah-Jane, Sally-Ann and it’s even worse for boys - Harry-Jack, etc. It’s bad enough when they are cute kids but when worse when they are adults.

Males that have (imho) female names - Lindsay, Stacey, Courtney, etc.

Unisex names which sound the same - Lesley/Leslie, Vivien/Vivian, Ashley/Ashleigh, etc.

Surnames as first names - Taylor, Elliot, Mitchell, Bailey, Blake, etc.

Twins that have “related” names - e.g. Brenda & Brandon from 90210.

”Celeb” based names - Lennon, Rafferty, etc.

Anyone who deliberately uses the same first initial for all of their children. It will be a nightmare when the post comes through for a J Bloggs. Which one?!

Think there’s a few genres there!

My husband‘s name has been mentioned on this thread but not mine or my children’s (yet!), not even their middle names.

Where I work this little boy came in for an appointment he was around 7/8 and he came over to the reception desk whilst his mom was getting the pram through the door, and he said “My name is Diezel, like the petrol but with a Z” I think about him quite regularly and how much he must get bullied with a name like that :(

My daughters name is unusual but not tacky or too out there. If I had another child I like the name Anna and Zak. I cant have Zak though as a friend has it and Anna would be spelt Ana.
Are you my daughter's teacher?! Thankfully her name has not been mentioned ... yet. Her big brother's has though! :D

Billie or Frankie as girls names.
I know an Ana, but she pronounces it as Arna.💁‍♀️
Rex
Trixie
Chantell
Sharron
Debbie
Ralfe

Harley
Tyler
Taylor
Anything with May on the end, very chavvy
Chester (Holly Willoughby you started that ridiculous name)
Dylan
Leoni (chavvy as hell)
Arabella
Ariana
Brianna/Rihanna/Briann

Hamish ... usually used by wannabe posh people (not talking about in Scotland, I'm Scottish and don't know a single Hamish).

Without giving too much away, at one of my children's school there is a daughter called Peculiar. I tit you not. They have three children and she is the youngest. Eldest (boy) has very regal name. Middle son has bog standard name. Daughter ... "Peculiar".

anything that only works on a 5 year old - Would never name my kid Daisy, sounds ridiculous on an adult

Many years ago I knew of a family where all of their names started with D. The kids were Debbie, Donna, Denise, Devon and Dean. Mum and dad, Dot and Dave.
What a nightmare when mail arrived for D.Smith.😂

Looking at some of the absolute shockers on these lists I think it's time we had official rules on names like some other countries do. Calling a child a name like "Destiny" or "Fenix" is basically giving the child a handicap for life.
