I don’t like overly popular names and a lot are very “chavvy.” My children have names that aren’t totally unusual but not common either. Not hating on anyone who’s children have these names, they’re just not my cup of tea. Life would be boring if we all had same taste.
There is an Armani at my kids schoolGreat idea for a thread! I was just saying yesterday how much I hate the name Jayden!

Ha ha, posh names are difficult cos there’s a fine line between posh and pretentious, and some are really trying too hard! Rafferty is a example of this for me, I know someone who’s just called their kid this, they really fancy themselves as upper middle class lolI love this thread!
Maybe we should start a thread with names that are posh but not posh? I never know what names are posh lol!![]()
StJohn - now that is a posh name!Ha ha, posh names are difficult cos there’s a fine line between posh and pretentious, and some are really trying too hard! Rafferty is a example of this for me, I know someone who’s just called their kid this, they really fancy themselves as upper middle class lol

I was gonna call my little one Jonah had she been a boy!My daughter is Daisy-Mae and I can assure you we are very far from being chavvy. Maybe we have just managed to break the mould I don’t know
We called my son Jonah and my father has taken it upon himself to make as many embarrassing rhymes as possible for when he’s older. He’s three and now runs around the garden shouting “I’m Jonah the Boner!”. Not something I thought I would have to explain to my neighbours who were very amused yesterday
Jonah Boner
Jonah the Moaner
Jonah the stoner
Jonah’s a moaner
Jonah Corona![]()
My niece is called aria, when she was named it it was really unheard of, then game of thrones and pretty little liars came about now my sister regrets naming her it!!The only ones I like are Florence and Emilia. But I can't say Florence properly and probably wouldn't use Emilia, too similar to Amelia.
I really don't understand why Aria is so popular.
