So Nadine’s raving about that Nexxus shampoo and conditioner that she’s been shilling, while flicking her hair around showing it off - best thing ever for fluffy hair apparently. But then in the next breath says she’s also using two styling products (Kerestase and Redken) to smooth her hair out while blow drying So, actually her hair is a result of a combination of all four products, and probably a lot more to do with the styling products in reality.

And couldn’t tell what Jo was implying in one of her latest vids about all those people that go breaking the rules and sneaking off to The Maldives. Was she talking about Nadine’s trip over there? Was it tongue in cheek or having a go at her?

I don’t follow Jo so I’ve not seen it. What did she say? There’s been a lot of influencers going there lately, Nadine was one of many. I do think it was poor judgement on her part to go at that time when the Covid situation was worsening again in the UK. It wasn’t strictly necessary.

Filming must protect you from covid before I get shot down my niece in early 20s & fully vaccinated recently was very sick with covid not in hospital but still sicker than anyone would want to be!

Totally agree. She’s really sly and underhand the way she sneaks products into her social media. She has such a snotty attitude towards anyone who questions her. Can’t stand the woman.

I’ve just had a look at the comments. People are definitely starting to see through her.

That shampoo is obviously an ad and no mention of it (probably lots of the other items too). in fact most of her ads just state “partly sponsored”.

She’s not following social distancing advice.

She constantly talks over Jo.

I really need to stop watching her .

She’s shilling JML products now, in her next to last YouTube video (best new budget makeup). That’s that crappy stand of informercial products you see near the checkouts at Wilkos. And she even made a massive deal about “free p&p” She’s really chasing the money.

Yes, I think you’re right. People seem to give these influencers a free pass to do whatever they like. They idolise them. When all they actually do is fleece them in exchange for shitty content on social media

I’ve just checked perfume parlour and they do YSL tuxedo but it’s out of stock at the moment. Only 3 reviews and they’re not very good, saying it’s not much like the original, but one says they bought the spray whereas the oils are loads better. I’d say it’s worth risking £4 on a small bottle of their oil to see if you like it.

She says come people have illegally been to the Maldives and been silly enough to post it. Mentions reality TV stars. I don’t think she’s having a go at Nadine (who has liked the post). I really don’t think that they think Nadine did anything wrong. Or that the did anything wrong filming videos together. Jo starts off talking about all the shops she’s been in,Poundland,Wilkos etc to relieve the boredom of lockdown by looking at makeup in there. I don’t think she realises the “stay at home” message applies to her.

I don’t understand what she’s getting at by saying ‘illegally been’. Lots of influencers are certainly pushing their luck by saying travel is essential because it’s for work reasons when they’re perhaps going on a partially paid trip and then staying longer and flying friends along too. Why are reality tv influencers any different from beauty influencers in this regard? Are there different classes if influencer, unknown to us mere mortals, whereby the beauty influencers set themselves apart and above the others? Bit snobbish that. Who’s to say saint Nadine’s trip was totally legit if we’re getting into semantics?

I think Jo’s got some nerve to say anything about this, when she’s a fully paid up member of the influencer club. They’re all at it to some degree either actually going on these trips, or condoning their mates who are doing so.
