There was also a thread about women that have kids to men knowing full well that they are useless and that these women are wreckless and irresponsible to bring children into that sort of relationship, and only a few women had the guts to admit that they knew their partner was worse than useless yet had a baby anyway but the amount of women that said they were using condoms AND the pill yet they still got pregnant, and I call absolute Bullshit on that! Just hold your bleeping hands up and admit that you were silly and naive, don’t pretend you took all the precautions in the world yet still fell pregnant and some even said that they had gotten pregnant more than once from using double contraception! My bleeping arse you lying wenches!!😂😂

Women’s bad behaviour gets excused a lot, if a woman is jealous, possessive, controlling etc then she was obviously abused as a child and has poor esteem (the go to excuse for female bad behaviour) and needs counselling and gets a tit load of sympathy, yet if a man acts the same way then you have to LTB immediately and he ‘won’t change’ etc etc, they don’t like men as much as they won’t admit it, not all MN of course but lots of them.

Never used mumsnet (not a mum 😂) but yearssss ago I was on a Take That forum called TTTV - was anyone here on there!?

The competitive lunchbox threads 🤣 All the dcs were ‘tall and thin’ and either ate like a horse or survived on plain, home made yoghurt and half a foraged berry. And the MN chicken that would feed 8 people for 5 years (don’t forget to boil the bones for stock!).
Oh god why would you go on an anonymous forum to clearly lie about your parenting? It was getting more and more ridiculous!

I'm in agreement with others about how Mumsnet has changed and gotten so bitchy and nasty. Especially in the last 5 years. It has been helpful for me in regards to my daughters but it's the not-needed bitchiness

Also I hope this comment is okay to make and probably will be taken down, but what I don't like about Mumsnet is the constant moany/bitchy posts against Brits or England. Especially recently, there's been multiple threads on England/English people all quite negative and I think that's wrong because if the shoe was on the other foot it would cause an uproar when racism is erong on all angles. In the past week on AIBU at least there's been two threads about how crap England is...
It's not all of England. Just the England that is not London. The forum seems extremely London centric. Now I was born in London. It's my favourite city in the world. When I was single it felt like the centre of the universe, full of interesting outward looking people from all over the world. But when I had kids my London became full of sanctimonious wankers who think that anywhere outside London is some weird Medieval backwater. All of those people are on Mumsnet in one breath telling everyone how cosmopolitan they are because they buy groceries from the Ethnic supermarket and then full of ill informed slagging off of any other place because the only time they venture out of London is to travel to their second home where they hole up with their Ocado deliveries. I moved away and it really stands out.

The competitive cleaning is also insane. Unless you bathe head to toe in zoflora every day then you’re obviously a slattern. I’ve also never seen so much hysteria about loo brushes

And the snobbery about schools is off the scale. If you don’t go private then you obviously don’t care about your kids
I found the opposite on there. If you go private youre stupid to spend the money. Their kids all go to a great comprehensive in Hackney where they share 3 pencils to a class. Except they dont. They have paid through the nose for a house 2cm from an outstanding school in a poor area.

I came here from Mumsnet.

After yet another thread on Jack Monroe was delete, yet thousands of horrid comments about Meghan and Harry are allowed to stay, I found out about Tattle after a random posted PM’d me about Jack and said to come here.

AIBU is an absolute cesspit. If you get your child more than an orange and a piece of coal for Christmas or birthdays you are grabby. If your husband swears in a queue of traffic you should LTB. If your child is a month slower than the national average in speaking they should be checked for autism. I used to see users like Bluntness100 and WeBuiltThisCityOnASausageRoll treated like royalty when in actual fact they were vile to people.
Posters in that forum think it’s acceptable to be vile to the OP because they don’t agree with them, a couple of times I’ve replied and called them all out on it, and surprisingly the abuse stopped when they take a step back and realise someone is on the end of it.

Well rid of Mumsnet TBH. I don’t miss it and it’s getting even worse, everything about it is backward. Forum design is 1980’s, moderation is backward deleting the posts that should be fine and allowing vile ones to stay, and posters who are horrid not being banned. It’s had it’s day.

Mumsnet is huge with their political threads, this site is more fun and I get the impression that there are younger women on here than MN.

The mums on there would get really bitchy if you had a different opinion to them! Felt so much better when I deleted my account lol

I’m an ex-mumsnetter and I am embarrassed how much I have defended in the past with how it is now.

The modding became ridiculous, with both what they took away and what they allowed to stand and relying on volunteers overnight for a site that large seemed silly.

Thé IT situation was appalling and I don’t know how people still trust them after all the duck ups they’ve allowed.

However I did have a few fun days out from them ( The best was when I did one of the cruise ship days that Royal Caribbean sometimes did as focus groups/advertising - that one was really good, day on the ship, amazing food, overnight in a lovely hotel room and a nice goody bag! ) and a tumble dryer and fancy iron from MN insights so I did get something good from it!

I found this place after reading a Philip Schofield thread on MN and it linked to the thread about him on here.
MN is so bitchy and full of do gooders. It’s like a breath of fresh air here. I don’t post a lot and I love reading the Celeb forum. I haven’t ventured in to many of the other areas on here yet.

The Corona threads are too much, one woman today posted “where the duck are my neighbours, they are a couple with small kids so why the duck aren’t they home, they shouldn’t be visiting other homes, I can’t see my family so where the duck are they”😡😡 these folks need to get a life, lockdown isn’t normal and the mass hysteria over people going out etc etc is madness, people on MN love to grass don’t they?! Phoning the police because their neighbours are having barbecues with their own households etc, I fully believe that these folks are grasses of everything including benefit fraud etc, do gooders and nosey folks are the worst and MN is full of them, and they judge things they know duck all about.

Tbh MN is the worst and I think it’s because lots of clueless MC folks use it, whereas this site has younger women I think but pathetic folks aren’t exclusive to MN, I’ve seen some questionable posts on here being hysterical about folks breaking the rules...and god forbid anyone has fun during this time *eyeroll*

I’ve found my people 🙌🏼
never felt like I fit in on that site as I always seemed to have the opposite opinion to everyone else! I’ve now deemed that, that is probably a good thing! Would always go to comment or offer an opinion but couldn’t be bothered to deal with the backlash. Quite liked it for a quick bedtime read. Now I’m all about tattle.
Found tattle after alicegate and haven’t been on Mumsnet since the start of lockdown. It feels good

Cheese and Buscuits I’m the same as you! I felt like the odd one out (in a good way) and my god, I started WW3 when I said “doesn’t every woman have a hair free pussy now”, bleeping hell you would think I posted and admitted to being a sexual deviant! They also said “what type of mates do you have that you discuss shaving your vagina with”, and I said “um, normal female mates”, they all went on how all the men that like hair free pussies are paedophiles (yawn) and that I “obviously think I’m a porn star”😂😂😂 the husbands and boyfriends of these women must be totally sexually satisfied NOT!!

They just seem sheltered and that they don’t live in the real world, I’m not in the ‘spirit’ of MN, I like the TV boards but I often write something out and then delete because I think that I’ll just get flamed, lots of cheeky witches on it who you just know wouldn’t say boo to a goose IRL.😂😂

I think on MN you hit a nerve with some of them, and jeez if your okay with your man watching porn (which I’m not really -when I have a man that is- but I’m not going to try and tell a grown man what to watch ffs, men watch porn & as long as it’s legal and nobody is hurt then what’s the issue) then your a disgrace to the female race and trying to be ‘cool’, also if you smoke weed then your a smelly scruff junkie 😂😂😂

I joined babycentre in 2002. The community manager was lovely and the site ran really well. Then she left and next thing 2 new managers car in and it all went tits up.

Why are women on parenting forums so bloody nasty? It was exactly the same on Babycentre, I came to the conclusion that they are very miserable people who hate their lives and husbands so they take it out on others online

The people on there sound a lot like those on MSE. I have never known a bigger snake pit outside of twitter! You could go on for some innocuous advice and get accused of all sorts. “Oh, you want to change broadband providers? Is that because you’re leaving Sky without paying your final bill!!!”. Jesus Christ. And a lot think they ‘know’ Martin personally 🤣

I had a mumsnet account because they used to have some good competitions, but I never won anything. Can’t believe they’re charging!
