It’s ridiculously London centric, any ‘should I move north’ thread is always met with sneery comments. It’s all flat caps and whippets up here you see 🤷🏻‍♀️
yes but I bet most of those claiming to live in big houses in London are full of crap! All that I’ve bought this that and the other is mostly rubbish, there was a thread recently about good lockdown buys which was actually quite good but all those posters claiming to have bought the same old things (Eufy-velvetisers -Peloton bikes etc) I think were lying.

I had a thread going recently about a really important thing that had happened to us and wanted advice. After a whilst my husband was a bit pissed off I’d put it on there and I didn’t realise if someone knew us, we could actually be easily indentified. No idea what I was thinking but it was so shocking at the time I just needed advice.
Mumsnet said they couldn’t delete it as other people would be upset they’ve contributed to the thread and then it’s gone! I said I don’t give two shits yes I shouldn’t of posted so intensely about the matter but I couldn’t give a shite if someone was upset it had gone, it was our issue not entertainment for others🤦🏽‍♀️

Anyway once I said that they agreed to delete but never again will I go on it.

I’ve noticed another post called PlandeRacourment something like that who seems to jump on any thread right at the start and derail or just posts lies.

There was a thread where the OP asked for help on how to delegate tasks at work. Simple enough question. This poster jumped on as first response and queried the use of the word ‘colleagues’ and totally de railed the thread then went on to quote the dictionary and spout some nonsense about engineering. Of course a bunch of lemmings jumped on to agree and repeat the nonsense before another poster with common sense put a stop to it and actually answered the OP.

Certain posters just revel in being complete dickheads. It’s a waste of time reading some threads.

Did anyone see someone starting a thread saying they missed Bluntness and then someone came on called Bluntness101 pretending to be Bluntness?

Because their lives are so goddamn boring 😂 They are thirsty for secondhand neighbourhood disputes.

I could start a thread on parking. Yesterday someone had parked across my drive preventing me from reversing out and going to work. What to do?? Well, I knocked on my neighbour’s door, and her visiting cousin moved his car. All resolved within 10 minutes.
Start a thread I dare you!

even funnier when they go searching through their old posts to try and Find cracks in their stories.

i mean for a site that claims to have so many ‘busy, important high pressure career women’ they sure have a lot of time to do stuff like that.
Ha ha yes. Always bragging about their high powered jobs and yet are posting on Mumsnet all day and night.

I hate the passive aggressive confused faces that get posted on mumsnet. Usually followed by ‘this won’t end well’ by the posters who think they are the absolute oracle on mumsnet.
Sure as night turns to day they arrive with their wisdom. And they never namechange as they are not trolls (so they say).

Yes! I remember that. Was fairly recently wasn’t it?
June 2018 just looked. Sex in the hedge, not the garden...
I remember the thread as that has happened to me before! When I still lived at my parents there was one couple that would meet behind my house a few mornings every week to do the deed then go their separate ways! We contacted the police but they never did anything about it. All very weird!
How odd. Well weirdly this poster didn't seem to care but wanted to have a laugh at funny suggestions from others if they were in that situation...

The old joke used to be that you could post that your *relative* had burnt your house down, poisoned your cat and had you arrested on false charges and you’d still get someone coming on to say “My *relative* is dead, don’t you know how lucky you are!”
I was just going to say the same 🤣 Someone will post about a vile, toxic, narcissistic mother (for example) and without fail someone else will say ‘at least you still have a mum. Mine’s been dead 5 years and I’d do anything to have them back 😢

LOOL at crusty bread! Its ALWAYS got to be crusty bread and nibbly bits 😂

I think most of the users aspire to be middle class hence the mint velvet, seasalt. it always makes me laugh when someone asks for designer bag ideas and usually its the first few posts someone suggests coach bags 🤣 now to me that isn’t designer at all, it’s expensive for what it is, but its definitely not designer

and if its not coach bag then they should donate the money to chairty and carry their stuff around in a bag for life from sainsburys or at a push Primark

It’s a sanpro day, time for some salty nibbles and choc to ease those iffy cravings. DH brought DC to the park whilst I relax after doing nothing all day besides watch morning tv, internet shop and belittle and bully other mothers online. Might treat myself to a big bowl of hearty soup and crusty bread with lashings of good butter or will make Spag Bol for the kid. I hate my husband.

my life is so hard and challenging.
LTB 🤣

I think name changing is a shocking idea. I could set up a persona over there as a die hard Tory then name change and become a Corbynista, be anti NHS and pro private health care, then decide the NHS is awesome. A lot of trolls become unstuck when they forget to namechange and are rumbled by claiming to be a victim of DV whilst also being a happily married mother of 6.
It’s literally a troll paradise.

The only thing more glorious than seeing someone complain online about not being able to buy their way into Oxbridge is watching it in person.

Many years ago, think nineties, I attended one of the red brick universities who took on a lot of students who failed to get into Oxbridge. I vividly remember on the first day, it was Registration Day, a large group of extremely posh ex-private school kids (Bedales, some kids from a fancy school in Westminster I think, and a smattering of Harrow) standing around whining that it was a lottery to get into Oxbridge because of the “wrong sort” being allowed in.

Really stuck with me and made me snicker. One of the rudest ones to me, who tried to poor shame me on a few occasions, shut up and left me alone after I gave her the nickname of Snappy (which actually stuck), on account of her buck teeth and weak lower chin. I sadly haven’t matured a great deal since then when it comes to snobs and those of the aristocratic caste.
Met some of those types at uni myself. The entitlement is off the scale

I was a regular mumsnetter for years.

Before I left the one piece of advice that had me furiously tapping away on my key board 😡 saying ‘don’t bloody do it’ was “show them this thread”.

The absolute worst advice ever. If there’s anything that shows one up to be slightly unhinged it’s producing a print off with musings from internet random strangers.

The transphobia on there is so shocking as well. They can hide it all they like, but it’s obvious that because they hate men so much they assume that because trans women used to be men they are all out to rape and murder us.

Things they hate on Mumsnet

Men
Trans people
Teachers

Anything else?
Women that haven't been with their men for 45 years and saved 32k before making the choice to have a baby

Stoners

Anyone that games

Anyone that dares sit in their garden and speak above a whisper beyond 5pm
