The EXTRAORDINARY amount of ‘ wills ‘ that haven’t been left to children is astounding.. I hope to baby jeebus my kids are not waiting for me to die so they can get their hands on my 3 bed semi .. all I’ve read over the past 3 and more days is that the parents are retired , going on cruises , spunking the money up the wall and all the daughter says is ‘ wah wah wah’ why can’t they pay off my mortgage.. I even read tonight some mumsnetter went to private school in the 90’s got given 20k and still is crying a river cos the parents are enjoying themselves in retirement
That thread is quite astonishing. The OP earns 50k but considers that a low salary. She has a property portfolio. She owns a flat in central London. But mummy and daddy are spending all their wealth on luxury holidays and it's not fair. They should give her more money, not waste it on having a good time. She sounds like a petulant child.

"Doctor here" "Teacher here" Naturally everyone was then expected to bow down to these almighty people.

I'm NOT saying there's anything wrong with being a teacher or doctor, but on MN they always felt the need to announce it. A lot.
I HATE that, I imagine a booming voice announcing the plebs must stand down.

It’s going to be a hot bed of hysteria, teeth gnashing and wailing over the update from the PM today. Most of the COVID threads are so hysterical, one minute they want everything locked down for eternity, next minute MN royalty should be allowed to their second home.... totally hypocrisy!

I once saw a woman pushing her toddler in a buggy towards the pigeons and despite people telling her not to - she continued to push her buggy in a circle chasing these poor pigeons. 😡

My brother had a go at a family once for encouraging their children to pick up a squirrel in a churchyard. Luckily the poor squirrel ran away from the family.

Just horrible and these kids will probably grow up to be cruel to animals too.

Mint Velvet, Toast, Boden. The answer to “What basics do I need?” is always a Breton top
Haha I do love a Joules Breton top kind but it’s hardly what I’d call a basic!! Tattle is definitely more my crowd of people, the advice threads are a thousand miles for pragmatic and helpful without a side of snide insult

Also they don't like tradesmen using their toilets in case they poo in there or I suppose it could really be they hate men and believe they will mess up their very clean toilets.

Definitely a lot of Hyacinth Bucket types on there.

I’ve only recently joined Tattle this week, after I was directed here when the Jack Monroe thread was deleted twice - despite it a) not being bullying and b) you can say what you want about Meghan Markle, but saying Jack Monroe is an attention seeker and that’s it, thread is gone.

I only really look at AIBU, but as soon as coronavirus broke out the place turned into a total shitshow. There’s always the stock answers as said previously, and it’s like people get off on tearing people down who are genuinely looking for help and that puts me of. On a couple of occasions I’ve challenged the trolls on there, and when I did that more and more people came out agreeing with what I’d said, so it leads me to think people are scared to say what they really think because of the trolls and how they dominate every conversation.

I read a post today about the schools going back, and some idiot said it would be January 2021, cue a whole load of people disagreeing. This virus is what most of them have been waiting for, a chance to curtain twitch, spy on their neighbours and call 101 to their hearts content. There’s some posters on there and I’ll look at their name and immediately not read their posts as I know it’s going to be horrid to the original poster.

The site really is past its sell by, and not worth paying for in the slightest.

One of my colleagues went on a massive rant last year about not having had a text from her 18 year old son yet. All posted (on Facebook) at 7:30am. Fair play I don’t have an 18 year old son, but I imagine most 18 year old lads (and girls) are still asleep at that time on a Sunday FFS.
Bet she’s a mumsnetter 😂

Yes sorry I just had a read back through and some people are quite compassionate but I definitely remember previous threads were I have read some very harsh posts.
And this is the key difference between the sites. You'd never read this on Mumsnet or have two posters agreeing to disagree. Really refreshing.

I am not a cheerleader for men, but hate it when a man dares to comment on a thread in the most innocuous way, and they turn on him and say, klaxon alert, man’s opinion etc. It can be vicious. It’s really agresssive and unnecessary. Sometimes the guys are mansplaining, in which case, take them down a peg or two, but a lot of them are just commenting quite innocently, and I can imagine them being quite shell shocked at the responses. And the double standards already mentioned on this thread. All the women are saints, all the men are bastards. I occasionally skim threads now but never post. I am sure loads of people don’t bother looking at it now.

Were they all "settling in with popcorn"? I can see why trolls have started doing parking threads. Guaranteed to run at least 10 pages and provide entertainment all evening
Yes, the latest thread about parking on private property didn’t ring true to me.

Urgh the amount of obvious troll parking threads at the minute are ridiculous.. I don’t know why people still fall for it 🤦🏻‍♀️ So gullible.
All the huns are falling for it !

I’ve just noticed a post where someone is suggesting that people breaking coronavirus travel abroad rules should get points on their driving licence. :D

Do anyone of them get on with their neighbours? And why do so many of them have a problem with their neighbours enjoying their gardens in the summer? God forbid one of them should light a barbecue on a sunny day!
Honestly reading Mumsnet gave me such a complex about the way I conduct myself in my own garden 😅 the stress every time I have a bbq or some rubbish to burn, or want to cut my grass at the ‘wrong’ time of day.. 🙄

Are they still asking users for money?
Yep!

Only £5 a month, the same as a cup of coffee

It's best to not give mumsnet threads about tattle any oxygen. People from over there come here to be disruptive and rude then are surprised they get banned.

An old timer stirring under a name-change on that cruise thread. She sounds horrible, you just know she is the type to snipe behind your back dare you have anything nice in life.
All that bitterness under the pretence of environmental concerns, I loved her throwaway comment about national trust cottages that she uses.

She is probably chucking lager cans from the sofa outside her house with six feral children running around.

From what I've read on Mumsnet, they think all gifts are tat, hate Secret Santa and if anyone makes them a homemade gift, it goes straight in the bin because it could be all germy.

Who would be mad enough to spend £100 on chocolate?

I'm an old mumsnetter and haven't been on the site for ages. In fact a mumsnetter set up tattle and messaged me on mn to direct me to this site and I'm glad. I knew mn was over they say they started telling women that e couldn't post any thread staying ''men are men'. I used to love the feminist boards and think they used to be the best online forum for feminist issues but then mn started moderating everything and it became clear that as a company mn are anti women and in favour of the erosion of the rights of women.

It's sad because back in the day it was a great place fill of support and kindness, mn scarfs and really great discussions. It hasn't changed or updated its format since it started and is clunky and old fashioned with constant sock puppeting. The constant data breaches also seem to go unchecked or unchallenged. There are some really nasty nasty people on that forum now. I do think she'll get her 10% off subscribers because already the stealth boasting about subscribing are starting. Mnetters love to boast about everything.

What about - Are you on crack? You have no idea how much those four words irritated me. Sounds like something A young teenager would come out with. Dreadful.
