Hmmm like the Titanic. I like your thinking :LOL:
Imagine the class wars and bragging about the 6 figure salaries if they had have been on the actual titanic in the scramble to get a lifeboat.
The thought of the threads if they had Internet in 1912!

AIBU for making the povvos and northerners wait for life boats?

AIBU for making MIL and the maid get in the same boat?

You could fit at least 6 Mumsnetters on a door but they wouldn't want to sit with anyone else so even more people would've died.

Hopefully you can get them delivered

It may depend where in Scotland you are but I hope you are able to get some for your husband.

We need a petition to make stotties available in all Greggs!
You're amazing! Ordered and ready to be his favourite wife (😉) for the 2 minutes it takes for him to devour it, haha.

I'd sign that petition only for husband though because... And I'm actually quite scared to share this.... I didn't actually like it the twice I've tried it... Please don't have me killed 😅.

A few of my favourites from MN the last few days....

I might start calling them fruities actually 🤔 .

This one where alot of replies said "light/strike a match"....

And my personal favourite of the day, this one where OP didn't realise you had to flip the sticks even though it tells you to do that on the box ("it actually works!!" She says... of course it does, that's why it tells you to bloody do it!) and only remembered they're called reed diffusers 10 minutes after posting. Although, I do quite like changing it from reed diffuser to "little bottle of nice smells with sticks in it" 😂.

I hate 'veggies' so I don't use it, I don't care if other people do though. I hate loads of words, so I don't say them. I hate loads of hobbies so I don't do them, I hate loads of TV shows so I don't watch them. I also don't waste my time berating other people who do like them/use them/watch them/whatever.

I don't understand how you dislike stotties? Are you actually even a Northern? 🤣

Hope Mr SkinKaare enjoys 😉

Why is the current Mumsnet trend for vague posts you can't actually reply to?

Current one in AIBU - 'I get that boundaries are important and some situations do call for walking away. But sometimes it feels like people are so quick to cut others off, even for human (non-malicious) mistakes. Isn’t there something to be said for forgiveness, especially when someone’s genuinely sorry?
AIBU to think that grace, not perfection, should be the foundation of strong relationships?'

How can we reply to that? Who does OP think we should forgive for what? A my niece got Nutella on my favourite dress and she's sorry? Forgiven, not cut out of my life. My uncle is convicted of being a pedophile? Not forgiven, cut out. Just the tiniest scrap of context would help.

They don't put context because they know it would make them the unreasonable one

Wait - so our characters are determined by our profession? duck knows what that would say about a forensic psych!

Or are we attracted to certain professions to fit our character? Maybe only really dull people are chartered accountants? (I don't know any accountants, so have no clue, but it just sounds boring.)

The Titanic sinking would have been an excellent cull of MNetters as they wouldn't answer any unexpected knocks on their cabin door. They'd all go down still sobbing and shaking at the intrusion 😆

Somebody's mithering about a date that turned up with wine, his dog (always a winner for me there), three leftover tomatoes and a packet of mozzarella.

Mumsnet is on fire. Again.

It would have been terrible had he bought a new packet instead of scrabbling around in the back of the fridge because;

Too mild a criticism for you (and your eyes aren't bleeding from the spelling)?

Of course, people expecting more than a half eaten packet of golf balls are singlehandedly contributing to the end of Civilisation as we know it;

Must have been a whole 30 calories there, of course they'd waste another 30 from being too full.

But it's the Patriarchy, you see -

Nah, it's the massive age gap between them that's the problem -

He's 69 and she's 60.
Is it just me or does this to normal people actually sound like an endearing first date story you’d tell the kids? Sounds like something out of those 90s British romcoms where the useless at real life but hot sad poet looking hugh grant character would bring to your house
