Just wanted to share some happy news. My (6 foot 2, RG educated, home owning <see girlfriend's parental status, nowt to do us poors> in a posh city) son has just asked his (willowy, millionaire parent, thank God!) girlfriend to marry him!! We knew it was coming and he finally did it.
We're over the moon as she is genuinely amazing and he's our baybeeeeee.

One of my sisters works in elderly dementia care and she says some of her patients never get visitors, despite having sons, daughters and grandchildren. She says it’s often not the dementia that stops them coming, it’s because they’ve been absolute thundercunts all their lives, neglectful and abusive for the most part. Just because someone looks like a sweet old person doesn’t mean they are! It’s sad.

Hmm trusting your gut is one thing. My husband always accuses me of cheating when I don't. My gut told me my sons cat was the dead cat i went to inspect on the side of the road when his cat was missing but I couldn't be sure as a fox must have eaten its head. My sons cat came home 7 weeks later having been in the woods.

My favourite post this morning is about the abusive husband and his family and how she moved out to their country but felt isolated as didn’t speak the language, she tried to learn it but the locals just spoke back to her in English. She couldn’t divorce him because that would give his parents rights over their children
