Why would u even set that up as a thread?! Like everyone problems are problems to them, they don't stop being a problem just because someone else has it worse.

Sorry I'm 14 pages behind so this might have been asked and answered but what is the place the delivers stotties?

My husband moved from NE to be with me in Scotland and he always cries about his precious stotties. One time, we went into Morrisons and one of the bread labels had stotties, he was beaming with joy and excitement at getting his mouth around one again only to be disappointed when he asked where the were and a worker told him "we don't have them here, it's regional" 😅.
Sounds to me like your husband needs to post on the to ask what your biggest problem in life is thread that @CrimsonCountess just mentioned, as a fellow exiled NEasterner I would upvote him, I miss those delicious flat beauties!

Mumsnetters hate it if someone might be able to say they're also tired/upset/poor/bereaved/disabled.

There was a thread the other day where an op was complaining her friend was saying she's stressed/tired because of her kids but they're in nursery/school so how is that possible and basically wanted to be the only one tired/stressed because her child was at home.

But doing that it's never ending.

I'm tired because I have one child
But I have two
I have three and they're not in school
I have three not in school and one is disabled
I have four and two are disabled
I have four, three are disabled and I'm disabled

What do we do just find the poor cow living in the worst country in the world with 15 kids all of whom are disabled, she's had 4 children die, 8 miscarriages, she's been grape multiple times, stabbed 6 times her parents are dead her husband is in prison for a crime he didn't commit, she's only got one leg, her neighbours are drugged up nutcases, her sister is a narcissist, her sister in law has sepsis, she's developing dementia and she's just lost her job and let her stand in the town square and complain and tell everyone else they can't.

I think this thread is fake because whose 19 year old still lives at home. Doesn't everyone kick them out and go NC on their child's 18th birthday? 😂

So a friend of mine had 1 ds 19 years old.
She is always posting pictures of him on social media with captions like, my world, my beautiful son, my son has done this at the weekend, so proud of him and my son living his best life with videos or pictures of him out with friends etc.
I find this a little strange and weird. Yes we all love our kids but he’s 19 years old not a young child. It’s like she’s obsessed with him.
I know it’s none of my business before anyone starts. Just wondering AIBU thinking it’s a bit to much?
If I posted pics of my ds like that he would find it really embarras

Misery loves company…
Or I could ask ChatGPT and regurgitate its answer?

I honestly don't care what other people write and what pictures they post on social media. If her son is ok with it then all good. I'd just scroll past along with all the people posting their kids SAT results and end of year reports. They're happy, the kids happy, no need for me to validate. I may have not fully engaged with the social part of social media. I've been very online for 25 years and I just don't care anymore unless it's snarking on here

Thread in AIBU. I haven't read the whole thing but so far I'm up to someone whose children eat 8 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. I'm hoping for double digits though -
I've just noticed that when I have kids round for play dates that loads of them will not eat any fruit or veg snacks. I understand not everyone will like everything but there are so many kids who will refuse apples, strawberries, grapes and I just find it mad. None of these kids have AFRID or any other needs. They always ask for sweets and chocolate which is fine and I don't mind giving them some but AIBU to think that most kids don't really eat any fruit or veg?
MN kids always eat 6 punnets of berries a day, a bunch of bananas and 3 bags of apples.

I saw a thread that went like that. With each reply the number of disabled children increased, the income decreased, and the ruralness of the poster increased. I gave up when it reached 6 disabled children on minimum wage and 20 miles from the closest store.

OP has posted about not wanting to do stuff to better herself like learning an instrument and being content with just scrolling TikTok and eating biscuits. Pretty light hearted I think, until Jane appears

I was going to go on this thread and say 'people who don't know the difference between your and you're', but then I opened it and it's a misery olympics of people trying to outdo each other with all their serious problems so I thought better of it

duck me, that thread is depressing. I do feel sorry for them all but it’s definitely misery top trumps over there.

Oh I like these - usually followed up by the bewildered fuckwit asking if anyone , anyone, anyone spends less than £500/week on groceries.

I was in M&S food hall yesterday (managed to sneak in as a large northern tradfam gammonista) and actually called over my hollow-legged rugby-playing sons to snigger and gawp at the £14 tins of tuna. I placed a tin in each child’s hand and was all “feel it! Feel it! It weighs nothing*”.

£14 for a tin of tuna. I’m sure it was lovely but… 😬

*weight reference : 1 tin of £14 tuna weighs approx half a Gregg’s steak bake or 120 duty free B&H from DTUI to Benidorm.

Why are their kids eating so much fruit when we all know fruit is full of sugar?!

Mumsnet would be horrified by my friends - we text each other before meeting up for a picnic saying I’m not even bringing fruit to pretend I’m a good mum because they won’t eat it 😂

Dmnetter kids eat so much Dfruit, yet they refuse to have toilet brushes when their toilets after their kids have done their Ddumps must look like the aftermath of a rainy Glastonbury.
My god, their cleaners must earn their pay.
