Is she trying to go to the Air Tattoo as some little air show, thinking it's 2 blokes and a biplane you can rock up to? Most of the nearby hotels are booked months in advance (very outing hobby as an aviation enthusiast - actually, not just obsessed with FlightRadar in bad weather).

Maybe it's because I live in a commuter town, but they don't be serving meals in first class on trains here, it's not the orient express, it's just a bigger seat!

Not even on a long distance journey?! Why would you need a bigger seat if you're not stuffing your face with 1st class food?!

Sometimes I really wish I worked somewhere more interesting than a psych ward. Where the feck does someone work that they wear a thong bikini to work - beach bar waitress, love island contestant?
The most exciting work trips I go on are the occasional conference or post work pub visit!

It's too late for me to edit my post as well and I've just realised I said her husband wore a thong bikini rather than saying her husband was upset she was wearing a thong bikini

I was so confused, trying to figure out why her husband was wearing a thong bikini, and I absolutely read that with the British definition of fan and wondered what the duck kind of bikini would let your lady bits get tanned.

The OP had been on a work thing at a water park. It's all balls anyway, as if a workplace would make you go to a waterpark for team building - even without a thong it's pretty weird to make your staff do something in what is essentially underwear!
