"Do you like my nails?" asks one poster today (hot pink/statement nail manicure). Among the usual, immediate nasty comments of women falling over each other to call it "tacky," this person seems to have once been attacked by a brightly-coloured nail art set and has unburdened herself on the thread as therapy:

I’d say she’s also strict lights off missionary girl too. Once a month.

A MONTH? No bloody way. Once she’d done her wifely duty and presented her DH with Percival and Orecchiette I guarantee she shut up shop for good.

She may as well add "no personality"

Imagine being like that in real life. If a colleague asks you if you like their nails you go on a monologue like that instead of just saying "yeah nice".

Someone has started a disappointing travel destinations thread by saying that the Norwegian Fjords were awful because it was cold and rainy. And in other news, grass is green

I’m on a TUI all inclusive with Mr Plops and the late teen son. They appear to currently be able to fart at will. I should rent them out as weapons of spite
Lucky buggers. We got home last Friday, my only complaint to the DanglyMan was not being able to fart in peace. Same resort and the beer didn't agree with me last year, did I learn my lesson? Course not! I probably looked month by month more progressively pregnant by the day with the gas!

There's a thread in AIBU about a mother asking if she's being unreasonable to not want baby's father to take 7 month old out in the daytime in case he falls asleep in the hot weather because of his medication and he stays up all night gaming, I am completely lost

They found about about the regional menu items so made an itinerary to incorporate trying as many of them as possible.

The official trip is to Edinburgh for my Grandpa's 90th and my parent's 40th anniversary - and my birthday. I like to remind them every year I'm the best present they'll ever get!
I'll maybe duck and run but I HATE greggs after they ruined the chicken and mango mayo sandwich (I do like a sausage and bean melt from Iceland like the commoner I am) but the corned beef pastries are bleeping banging. Can't get them in my town but 18 miles over you can. Apparently it's for the north east. guys,

Someone posted she was nearly ran over because she voted for labour and then she edited so it just said she was nearly ran over because she said people were bullying her about it. Mumsnet really is never ending entertainment.

WE DESERVE THEM!

Here on the outskirts of Gateshead, one of our few consolations for being surrounded by men in flat caps, with giant leeks under their arms, smoking Woodbines and leading whippets on bits of string, is the opportunity to eat a Greggs corned beef pasty in the knowledge that the rest of the world envies us.

How on earth have they managed to get four threads out of the Salt Path shenanigans?
To be fair I he writer woman's denials are very funny.

Apparently she paid a shitload of money to her after ex-employer because she couldn't prove she didn't taken the money (see also Prince Andrew paying millions to a woman he'd never met).

Oh yes, I read the Observer article. I just can’t understand how MN have managed to talk about it for so many threads!

Random fact- Greggs in the North of England and Scotland sell empire biscuits, as I discovered recently, so I may just move up there and be done with it!
I’ll never be size French <sigh>

Mumsnet just makes me feel very very sad at the moment. They just seem to suck all the joy out of everything on there.
My lovely DIL (actually my son's lovely partner) I tell her not to go on MN for advice ever, because they are just awful people.
I hate it because that forum should be a proper lifeline for mums of wee ones. I'm really not up to date on new parenting stuff and DIL lost her mum 2 years ago so I have tried to fill a gap for her, but obviously I can't.

It just pisses me off so much, the bleeps
