Has the 'bereavement leave for miscarriages' thread turned into a 'bun fight' and people arguing that people shouldn't get it because they didn't have it? Of course it has.

Lots don't want it to be allowed because people will take the piss, yeah, they will, like people take the piss out of every other policy or rule or whatever that gets you something, does that mean it shouldn't be available for those who need it though.
I recently saw a recording of woman talking about how to make women more visable in the workplace. She is very high up and very possily on 6 figures.
She wants to ban all remote working, mat leave, any kind of family leave basically anthing that she has fully taken advantage of with several children. Her reasoning is that women need to be seen in the office every day, they need to be seen by the head honchos showing that they are there in person and not being bothered by home like like men.
I get her point to a degree but it sounded a lot like she got what she needed to get where she is and now she is leaving the rest of us to sink or swim.
When I heard that I knew she was a mumsnetter. This was a recent event too.

I’m screaming at this thread on AIBU.

Sorry, won’t let me post the link - it’s about a Mumsnetter who has had her birthday ‘ruined’ by DH not booking a table seat on the train so they can have their usual train birthday picnic of picky bits and prosecco. MNers are up in arms about folk eating “that smelly food” on a train…

They would absolutely die off on my (potentially outing!) west coast of Scotland train where a train snack is a four pack of Carling and a fish supper on the 1107am train to Glasgow Central.

I do want to know how big this picnic is if she thinks the fold down tables at normal seats won’t be able to contain it! Someone has suggested sushi as it’s more ‘compact’ and she liked that idea.

One of the best trains I got was the last train out of Kings Cross back up to the north east (very rural, think no Waitrose) when a group of lads got a full Indian takeaway out for the journey home. Even better, they invited me to share it. Bunch of legends.

They need to get themselves on the Middlesbrough to Manchester Airport cross country. They would truly have their eyes opened.

Subletter is still being radgy and now they are all pearl clutching about HB.

You’d hope so, wouldn’t you?

There’s another dead husband thread going today, too, and whether it’s true or not, I can’t imagine turning to an anonymous online forum for comfort and support.

Is Mumsnet now sponsored by AI? <head tilt, tinkly laugh> It’s really bloody weird how many threads there are about AI or obvious threads that are AI generated.

I'm convinced Natashadancing is trolling the style & beauty board for fun. OP is wanting a wedding guest dress but has a small budget and wants something she can wear again. So along comes ND to suggest a £350 dress. The fact it has images of a dooomed voyage on it for a wedding is just the icing on the cake

Just wanted to share some happy news. My (6 foot 2, RG educated, home owning <see girlfriend's parental status, nowt to do us poors> in a posh city) son has just asked his (willowy, millionaire parent, thank God!) girlfriend to marry him!! We knew it was coming and he finally did it.
We're over the moon as she is genuinely amazing and he's our baybeeeeee.
Should I ask for MoTG outfits in S and B????
