Has the 'bereavement leave for miscarriages' thread turned into a 'bun fight' and people arguing that people shouldn't get it because they didn't have it? Of course it has.

I recently saw a recording of woman talking about how to make women more visable in the workplace. She is very high up and very possily on 6 figures.
She wants to ban all remote working, mat leave, any kind of family leave basically anthing that she has fully taken advantage of with several children. Her reasoning is that women need to be seen in the office every day, they need to be seen by the head honchos showing that they are there in person and not being bothered by home like like men.
I get her point to a degree but it sounded a lot like she got what she needed to get where she is and now she is leaving the rest of us to sink or swim.
When I heard that I knew she was a mumsnetter. This was a recent event too.

Is it socially acceptable for an adult to have a ‘lazy day’
For context I am a single with parental responsibility 70% of the time, plus I work full time. Due to the summer holidays my DC are with their dad more this weekend. I have completed house hold task this morning and now I am sitting in front of the telly. However I feel guilty in doing so.
I would like to go and do something but I’m short on funds.
House is clean
House and garden all tidy apart from DC bedroom which they refused to tidy.
YABU- get off your bum and do something
YANBU- it’s okay to have a lazy day every now and again

I have been child free for the last two weeks - thanks to early school holidays and sending the wee buggers off to camp in DFrance.
