Someone has started a thread to ask if this dress would look good on her ‘plus size’ bridesmaid. Bridesmaid is a size 12.
Lots of replies saying a size 12 is not plus sized, except it wasn’t long until someone commented ‘a size 12 is not slim though’

I’m screaming at this thread on AIBU.

Sorry, won’t let me post the link - it’s about a Mumsnetter who has had her birthday ‘ruined’ by DH not booking a table seat on the train so they can have their usual train birthday picnic of picky bits and prosecco. MNers are up in arms about folk eating “that smelly food” on a train…

They would absolutely die off on my (potentially outing!) west coast of Scotland train where a train snack is a four pack of Carling and a fish supper on the 1107am train to Glasgow Central.
One of the best trains I got was the last train out of Kings Cross back up to the north east (very rural, think no Waitrose) when a group of lads got a full Indian takeaway out for the journey home. Even better, they invited me to share it. Bunch of legends.

I’m not surprised you’re all DFat. You all say you poo, which suggests you eat. <tinkly laugh> I’m a breatharian and one canister of Himalayan air does me a year.

A serious one i was following and quite concerned as the OP sounded at her lowest. Long thread followed on 5th July with actually loads of lovely people advising that her husband, who had told her they were now in an open marriage, was gaslighting and financially abusing her. To get a solicitor and start making plans to separate. All of this being ignored by OP who continued to say she didn't want his money and she hated solicitors....

So many folk genuinely concerned at how low she seemed and unable to get her head round it at all. One day later she's posted "well I've done it I've walked out...." apparently she's in a rented flat with her youngest son?

Just...not 24 hours ago she couldn't lift her head and answered each post that she wanted to disappear (trigger)....and now she's organised a flat, told her husband she was leaving and organised to take her youngest son. Jeez I'm getting so hard hearted aren't I? If it's true it's absolutely horrendous for her but...hmmm.
Yeh you’re a wicked person. Everyone knows it’s super-easy to find a rental right now. 24hrs to view, get the keys and move in sounds totally legit.

What a cunt, hopefully the son enjoys his lovely new family since his family of origin is such a bunch of fickle fucks.
I have an uncle who has a different girlfriend every time I speak to him, he always has. I remember some of them from when I was a kid, I liked some of them a lot, it didn't traumatised me though. They were introduced as his friend, special friend, date or girlfriend by him and I called them by their name. I don't really see the issue as long as they're not banging on the dining table between courses.

Actually almond milk is dead easy, literally whisk up a handful with water and strain.

This assumes you have almonds in your pantry of course.

And if you need to buy some then you may as well get your shite-in-coffee almond milk at the shop. They probably don’t sell it in DFarm Foods though.
I don’t keep almonds in the house because I’m not a fat cunt x

I’m an ex teacher and I left because it was shit. I’m not saying it’s the hardest job in the world but it’s bloody difficult. I’m not a DWelder though so what would I know 🤷‍♀️

My DS (35) has had a few long-term relationships, but never married. I get the feeling this one might be "the one". Because he's always had different girls hanging around when my DD had her baby she didn't feel comfortable with the constant changing of arm candy. As such we stopped inviting them all round together. He may or may not turn up to ours with a girlfriend, so we just wouldn't invite them at the same time.
He phones regularly, but we don't see him much now to be honest. When we speak I ask what he's up to and he'll mention going out with his GF's mum or meeting up with her and her sisters for an outing. I have mentioned to him that we'd like to meet her, but he keeps batting away the suggestions.
I know he knows that his sister is the reason he stopped being invited to Sunday lunch and things, I did agree with his sister, that explaining the changing of companions was awkward with a small child, which is why I allowed it. But now, this girl has been 2 years, and he is very much involved with her family. I feel like I've broken something and have no idea how to fix it.

Just read someone on the “One celebrity you irrationally hate lighthearted and petty” say they want to smash Ewan McGregor’s face in..

There are nearly 800 replies in total 🫠

Someone remind me why Tattle is the bad guy again? Do they just need to add a LiGhTHeARTeD disclaimer to every thread?

ETA Someone also said Caroline Hirons looks like the back of a bus so I look forward to her imminent MN takedown..

My Dad did LITERALLY drop dead... on the golf course, way to go! Sadly before he got to the 19th hole, but you know, there are worse ways to go! (No sympathy please it was 30 years ago and I'm not saying it for a guilt trip)
My Grandad and my Dad did the same! ( I’m not trying to Elevenerife you btw ).
My Gran said Grandad must have finally realised what she’d been telling him for years, that golf was the stupidest game in the world and he actually died of boredom. Dad had a massive stroke and was gone before he hit the ground.
It’s very traumatic for the people around them, but honestly, watching my Mum gradually fade away from dementia I know which one I’d pick. Ideally shagged to death in a Tom Hardy/Jason Momoa sandwich.

News just in - if you’re a size 14 you won’t live to see your grandchildren.
But I'm size 20 and I've met my grandchild, so I'm very confused now, have I early onset dementia as I'm a very old nearly 50ish and will forget about it 🤔
