I only like the mushy peas with mint extract :)

Chips and curry sauce are gorgeous though. British or Chinese.
Oooh nice, or what about a 50 50 aka as a half 'n' half. To the uninitiated it is equal portions of chips and fried rice liberally covered in curry sauce 😋

At last viewing
I don't even know what the salt path is about. From the small amount I've seen about it eg the film poster, it looks like a film about a couple who walked all around Cornwall and now when I see those threads I can't help thinking that Mumsnetters are now on 5 threads of outrage about a couple who lied about going for a walk 😂 At this point it's too amusing for me to even read the threads to find out the true story about why they're upset.

It’s COVID all over again…. How they loved “reporting” people who took the dog out more than once.
The COVID threads were hilarious. People wanted to know where they could report people who went out for a second walk or what to do if someone dropped off a pint of milk for their elderly and disabled neighbour. Loved all the ones about quarantining post and disinfecting shopping as well. I'm sure it was on Mumsnet someone said she ran a sink full of water put 2 caps of Dettol in it and then submerged all her loose fruit and veg in it.

My DS (35) has had a few long-term relationships, but never married. I get the feeling this one might be "the one". Because he's always had different girls hanging around when my DD had her baby she didn't feel comfortable with the constant changing of arm candy. As such we stopped inviting them all round together. He may or may not turn up to ours with a girlfriend, so we just wouldn't invite them at the same time.
He phones regularly, but we don't see him much now to be honest. When we speak I ask what he's up to and he'll mention going out with his GF's mum or meeting up with her and her sisters for an outing. I have mentioned to him that we'd like to meet her, but he keeps batting away the suggestions.
I know he knows that his sister is the reason he stopped being invited to Sunday lunch and things, I did agree with his sister, that explaining the changing of companions was awkward with a small child, which is why I allowed it. But now, this girl has been 2 years, and he is very much involved with her family. I feel like I've broken something and have no idea how to fix it.

What a bleep, hopefully the son enjoys his lovely new family since his family of origin is such a bunch of fickle ducks.

I have an uncle who has a different girlfriend every time I speak to him, he always has. I remember some of them from when I was a kid, I liked some of them a lot, it didn't traumatised me though. They were introduced as his friend, special friend, date or girlfriend by him and I called them by their name. I don't really see the issue as long as they're not banging on the dining table between courses.

Arm candy? bleeping hell. And she wonders why her son doesn’t want to introduce them.

The OP says her daughter married a “devout Christian” and the son-in-law would think her family was “a certain way”. So she gave into the daughter so she could still see her grandchildren, who she claimed was her priority.

I have a family member like that - once they hold the grandchildren hostage, they never stop. The OP has started a horrible precedent with her daughter.

I’m not surprised you’re all DFat. You all say you poo, which suggests you eat. <tinkly laugh> I’m a breatharian and one canister of Himalayan air does me a year.

Do not even laugh about it. I worked with a dbreatharian!! She couldn't work out why her transcendent state of meditation resulted in constant dizziness or why coffee made her sick. I couldn't work out why she drank coffee or why I had to put up with that BS. I'm triggered

Until you drop dead! Seriously, I do not understand breatharians
They look you in the eye and LIE because they later confess that they ate a "small plate of chips" and that "it's okay to eat chocolate occasionally >tinkly laugh<" and you're just like WHY WHY are we going through this charade???

I'm saying this kindly - You want to be careful with that Himalayan air.

It might be rich in anti-oxidants, but it's full of Yak Butter fumes which are highly calorific.

Just remember - a little goes a long way.

I’ve just learned to photosynthesise so I consume nothing x

And I still feel a bit flabby atm as I’m taking in too much sunlight.
