I've just looked on the what are you wearing thread for the first time in ages, and it's now just two middle aged women sharing photos back and forth
I know. It’s a pity those threads died a death. I used to look forward to my daily dose as they were such a rich source of entertainment.

All this talk of Greggs reawakens my grief when they stopped making French salad stotties. 😢

Someone posted she was nearly ran over because she voted for labour and then she edited so it just said she was nearly ran over because she said people were bullying her about it. Mumsnet really is never ending entertainment.
Is that a new thread? Because I'm sure I've read a 'nearly run over due to bullying' thread before.

Oh, God YES!

They were fabulous!

Wouldn't even give me the recipe, that guys (Yes - I asked. I am shameless! I thought - well if they aren't going to use it, it's not as though my lunchtime sarnie is going to be any competition for them. But they obviously feared that I would either set up in business myself or sell it to a rival.)

Shithole posting her son's school report on Mumsnet and leaving the censored information visable. 🙄

Don't worry, she's named changed to stay anonymous.

Definite cause to LTB! 😉
I am married to a Southern one, he loves stotties and found a place that will post stotties anywhere in the UK-redeemed himself!
He has drawn the line at chips and gravy and will not even entertain the idea of mushy peas.
I'm with your husband - no chips and gravy and absolutely no to mushy peas. Or diseased peas as my sister calls them

I only like the mushy peas with mint extract :)

Chips and curry sauce are gorgeous though. British or Chinese.

AIBU - To ask why people say 'nice to see you' .....when it's just meaningless waffle and they might not even care/didn't want to see you?
I know that it's politeness and a pleasantry, but I just find it insincere and silly. I'd rather just say bye. Maybe I'm just projecting?

REPLY - I don't know why that's insincere. Maybe they mean it? I've said it before and meant it!

I can see why the OP doesn't believe someone thought it was nice to see her, it was probably the first time if that's her general attitude and demeanor 😂

I miss the Greggs bread pudding, a delicacy only found down south and missing in action after Dcovid :(
Me too and the apple danish. It was never as good when they replaced the almond flakes with cheap chocolate icing but now it’s missing entirely 😩
