Special needs school places are as rare as hen’s teeth. You can’t simply take your child out of mainstream and rock up at a SEN school the following week, can you? The fights with the local authorities, the insistence that mainstream can meet a child’s needs when they can’t, the message that all local SEN schools are full, the tribunals…It's really difficult to get a child into a special needs school, I've got friends who have had to fight to get their child a place in one.
Mail online definitely has lots of Russian propaganda accounts, I wouldn't be surprised if mumsnet has some also. The site has a high opinion of itself and I doubt mumsnet would do anything to prevent propaganda accounts as they actively welcome the batshit lunacy.I genuinely can't tell anymore if some of these are Russian propaganda accounts or if loads of people really are this thick.
A couple of people mentioned that they had similar suspicions and were reporting the thread. Of course it's still there, but most of the posts raising concerns have been deleted for 'troll hunting'I doubt mumsnet would do anything to prevent propaganda accounts
No no no just noThere is currently a thread this morning about daughter who is 14 & having her Boyfriend who is 13 sleep over. I really hope this one is a troll.
HahaDelighted (and horrifed) to let you all know there is currently a thread in AIBU asking people if they wash their sheets after every time they have sex. A chance to boast OR complain about one's sex life and be smug about one's home-making etc.
and she needs to question lack of friendshipsThe hunsnetters love a bank holiday. There are some nasty bitches on there today. One of the huns started a thread basically saying her son had no friends and had made friends with a boy who was overweight. She didn’t like it because she thought hanging around with him would make her son overweight. Doesn’t give a shit that her boy now has a mate but more concerned with the friends bmi.
They hate anyone that
1) Earns more than minimum wage
2) Has a good job and likes to buy nice things with their earned ( not benefit) income.
3) Uses a loo brush in their bathroom
4) Doesn’t use a mooncup
5) Goes to the hairdressers regularly
6) Has a clean house
7) Carries extra weight
Actually they pretty much slag off everything and it’s always a race to the bottom with anything health or money related.
Both my kids are asd this is heartbreaking to readIt's really difficult to get a child into a special needs school, I've got friends who have had to fight to get their child a place in one. Autistic adults are treated badly on Mumsnet too - I think someone called them "unfeeling monsters" and I had to tell my Autistic friend to stop reading the Asperger Support threads because she got so upset and thought that if she got into a relationship, any partner would resent her.
I've seen the way Autistic adults are treated in my line of work by people who remind me of Mumsnetters.
Until I started working with children like this I didn’t realise just how much disdain there was towards them. The dirty looks and glares from other people when out and about are shocking.Just reading the post about the child being hurt by a child with SEN. I agree every child deserves to not be hurt or upset at school and if my child who has SEN continues to be violent when he starts full time we will likely have to home school. However some of the attitudes towards children with additional needs is horrific and i hope with everything I have my son never comes into contact with people like some of them on there.
Hahaha. To be fair, if they were any good, it's a novelty act.I’ve mentioned it before but the funniest post I saw on Mumsnet was when a woman with a young daughter asked for ideas to earn money and someone suggested she played a tambourine busking on the street while her daughter danced and performed for passer-bys
I seem to remember their other dog is called Lupo which is Italian. Wonder if there was as many people complaining? Is it insensitive for William and Kate to have given their dog an Irish name. WTF am I reading????
Lupo is Italian for wolf. Orla is a traditional female Irish name.I seem to remember their other dog is called Lupo which is Italian. Wonder if there was as many people complaining?
I saw this one but wasn't sure if it was made up. I'm always suspicious half the parking ones are not genuine!Get over there now - there is a brilliant one at the moment which is so funny and happening now. Builder parking twat.
Even if it is made up it is hilarious but for once I do believe this one.I saw this one but wasn't sure if it was made up. I'm always suspicious half the parking ones are not genuine!
