Surely everything in moderation? My 5 year old daughter in y1 would love that pizza day but she also knows what a vegetable is, it's not one or the other. She eats all sorts. Miserable joyless cow, I feel sorry for her kid (if it's even real).
It’s the comment about using seasonal veg instead that got me. So Mumsnet that, piles of veg“Am I ahead of the learning curve” ffs
No you must be one of the only people to know that too much pizza would be unhealthy (which this is not), so definitely go and educate the teachers with your knowledge!
It probably is made up though , everything is so dramatic and far fetched! Today there will be a story about the DS/DD of a builder that has a large friend who's parents are on benefits and after a visit to their house they cannot believe there was no toilet brush in their loo and the house was so untidy it gave the mother anxiety when she collected them. To calm the waters she took them home and gave them someYou couldn’t make this tit up, could you?
You’re wrong, all the children you see are obese but you’re so used to it they look slim. Or something like that.I live near several local schools, one a secondary and rarely see a child who looks overweight. The majority seem to be on the slim side & some kids are more solid built than others. Talk about causing self esteem issues in the young but I guess the diet industries favour it.
If you can’t see their ribs protruding they are definitely overweightYou’re wrong, all the children you see are obese but you’re so used to it they look slim. Or something like that.
The National Child Measurement Programme figures published today show the Body Mass Index (BMI) classification rates for English children in reception and year 6 by age, sex, ethnicity and region. The results show that 40.9% of children aged 10 to 11 are living with overweight (including obesity) and 25.5% are living with obesity. Of children aged 4-5, 27.7% are living with overweight (including obesity) and 14.4% are living with obesity. While the annual figures have shown gradual increases for years, the results following the pandemic have seen the biggest jump recorded since the programme started in 2006, with obesity rates increasing in both age groups by approximately 5%.
The data also shows that children living in the most deprived areas of the country are more than twice as likely to be living with obesity than children in the least deprived. The obesity rates and healthy weight rates are very clearly linked to the areas that children live in. Boys are also more likely to be living with obesity than girls (29.8% for boys compared to 21.7% of girls aged 10 to 11). Rates of severely obese children are around four times higher in the most deprived areas.
No, kids are amazingly large. I think it's because, as a nation, we are so large we can no longer tell what a healthy body should look like. Foreigners are always shocked by how huge we are.

All threads about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp on there are about how she’s being dragged through the mud because she’s a woman and it’s misogyny. They can’t accept that sometimes women are wronguns as well as men.
omg I was thinking this earlier - it’s so annoying! I spend half the time trying to work out who they’re on about, eventually think oh ok maybe it’s their dad but oh no, ‘ddd’ turns out to be dear dead dog!I don't think I've ever visited a forum where they abbreviate so many things!
yep, and they alllllways manage to sneak in their high salary and the fact that ‘DS’ has ten degrees at the age of 15!They also make these awful long winded posts with ‘background’ when asking for advice, containing more waffle than an episode of Steve Wright in the Afternoon. Like just get to the sodding point will you.
So long as you aren't TOO middle class, because if you dare to enjoy life or any luxury whatsoever, you will be jumped on by someone who had to walk 10 miles to school on a bowl of gruel after putting in a shift at the mine.I used to be a regular user of Mumsnet until I saw the light and joined Tattle.
They are all just stuck up bleeps and think their tit doesn’t stink. I much prefer it here where you can have a laugh and a decent discussion without being shut down and it genuinely feels like everyone is welcome here, unlike on there where if you’re not white, female, middle class, then you might as well be dead.![]()
Come on, that’s obviously not true. If all those people were dead, who would be their cleaners.I used to be a regular user of Mumsnet until I saw the light and joined Tattle.
