Anyone read the post about the cv fraud and dob not matching employment dates. Replies from people who probably don’t even work let alone interview or know anything about the recruitment process.
That thread is hilarious, my two favourite replies are

Maybe she’s just accomplished (very accomplished to be the PA to the director of delta airlines at 13 years old 😂)

And

Just let her have the job and see how she does, don’t discriminate because of her age 😂

They really don’t have a clue

Thread asking for advice about a pasta bake using a jar (😱🤣) of sauce… of course someone has to come on and say that they’ve never used a jar (shock horror) of sauce. Ok, so perhaps this isn’t the thread for you then and no need to comment?!

I’m particularly enjoying the thread about ‘Should I send money to a Moroccan taxi driver?’ Yes, really….I haven’t made that up 😂

Mumsnet should hand out gold stars to members who cook from scratch, never use jars, breast feed for 5 years, have a hundred grand in the bank, don’t use loo brushes, wear Boden …could go on for days, but they’d love it 🤣

I started reading this while waiting at swimming lessons for my kids, disappointed to find out she withdrew her application

Similarly people not being allowed to complain eg ‘AIBU to ask my mum to call before she pops in as we’re TTC and she nearly caught us at it?’ ‘My mum is dead, what I wouldn’t give for her to come into my home unannounced, one day you’ll miss her doing that’.

That’s not the issue is it, unfortunately everyone will be dead one day, we’re still allowed to ask someone not to do something or be pissed off by someone!
Ew yes! I saw a really toxic reply once that has stuck with me. A woman was asking for advice about her child's deadbeat dad etc .. one reply was 'at least your child even has a dad, my sons dad died when he was a baby' ... HOW is that helpful 🥴

I read the Moroccan taxi driver thread. I wasn't really surprised to see that people would give money. They're probably the posters who say "I've PMed you OP" whenever there's a 1p to last until payday threads.

Wasn’t there someone who pretended to be a husband of a dying wife and people sent money?

That’s awful! Some people are just either really horrible or nutters. Waiting for the day someone asks for help about their DH who takes coke, cheats on them and hits them if they complain and someone comes on to talk about their dead husband. Just because your mum/husband/whoever died doesn’t mean people should accept abuse/bad treatment/something they don’t want from their same relation! If I found out my mum was on mumsnet giving out tit advice and rude comments like that I’d be ashamed of her (even though some mumsnetters with dead mums would give anything for their mum to be here being holes on mumsnet).

I saw that this morning and I genuinely had no idea you could put raw pasta in with sauce….. but then I realised that is what you do with lasagne so that’s me being silly!

I haven’t seen what the outcome of the fraudulent job app was and can’t find the thread now but my fave one today was the one whose daughter is doing a PGCE and is on some sort of performance plan for - NOT BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN 😂😂
Why would u apply for a job teaching children if u don’t actually want to/like interacting with them!?

Did they come on all confused, asking what a pasta bake was? “Oh, you mean pasta al forno? I had no idea you could get sauces in jars… how déclassé”.

Wasn't that the David and Caroline one? I didn't read it but I know there was quite a lot of drama surrounding it.
That was real, in a way, in that Caroline was a real person who died of cancer, but the guy got creepy at Mumsnetters offering help and made sexual passes at them via their PMs.

He was a scammer. It was controversial because MNHQ were seriously inept. They failed to check him out properly, deleting evidence against him and banning members who were suspicious which led to more and more people being scammed. Once MNHQ realised their mistake, they refused to acknowledge it, nuking the original threads and banning conversation on it. Reddit has some threads. Search for 'david caroline mumsnet'

They’re really all batshit aren’t they?

Op: my new partner said I taste strong down there. Am I right to be offended?
Poster: oh no, of course not! Just make it really fun and buy some pineapples to eat together, make a joke out of it!

You what? 😁

People who eat a lot of pineapple are apparently very tasty ("eat more of it" seems to be common advice dished out by sex therapists when their clients complain they've been told they taste foul).
