The determined under eating is so sad. In my mind's eye, I see all these women as not slim or slender, but painfully bone-thin. It's no wonder they're so bleeping uptight and angry about everything, it's because they've been ravenous since 1997.

They all need a damned good bag and copious amounts of cake, then they'll chill the duck out.

They also need a glass of vodka or wine to wash down their cake, because we all know they think anything more than half a glass of wine on Christmas Day is alcoholism!

They’re all just a bunch of moany guys to be honest, can’t take a joke, can’t have a laugh, their husbands are all supposed guys, they don’t eat, don’t drink, they don’t like sex, cheap with money and they all dress as if they’re in a nunnery.

Bunch of miserable guys.

Their children can do no wrong. Everyone else’s are spawn of the devil though.

They also need a good bounce on a trampoline in my mind. Naked preferably. That would sort them out.

As long as their pelvic floor could handle it 🥴

Maybe you’ve captured the problem with MN. A social forum for people who don’t like others enough to form friendships - it would explain why it’s so bloody weird and dysfunctional.
To add to this, I think a lot of the posters are insecure and struggling with how to identify outside of being their DC mother and their DH’s wife! Which I sympathise with. But MN isn’t the solution. Therapy (and the aforementioned cake and wine and trampoline suggested above) is.

It actually makes me feel a bit dirty (not in a good way) going over there now. Having been banned and not prepared to lick a I cant post, but there are some really good people (elderly parents and life limiting illness threads in particular). However, about 90% if not more are just... rit?!

I've written about my awful colleague before on here. She's MN personified. When I first met her I tried my best to like her and I tried hard to get along with her but she took advantage of this. I was warned by colleagues that she's a back stabbing witch but it was only through personal experience did I unfortunately understand what they meant.
So my colleague is very snobby and hasn't got any type of humour at all and swearing, well she'd implode
She's Boden/toast type and probably thinks I'm a slut for wearing River Island or Zara.
I honestly don't know how she does it but she makes me feel small and stupid.
Weirdly she's a few years younger but so frumpy and her mindset is so old fashioned and stuffy and automatically thinks she's much older than me.
She has a mother hen persona.
I've never had a conversation with her it's just her telling me about herself and her kids who are amazing at sleeping 🥴
At every opportunity she tries to prove how much she has....her house, her apparently rich family and husband. 🥱
She constantly tells me about working for the opera (the opera is tit).
She is unbelievably stuck up. She tried to get our colleague to order her a taxi home, my friend/colleague told her to get lost.
When we were in a big meeting she ordered me to get more water - she's isn't my boss, she's at my level but it's power dynamics and she has a pair of bleeping legs.
Anyway my ranty point is she has no friends at work. We all dislike her because she's been vile to all of us...none of us want to be around her and I am pretty sure she has no friends outside work.
She would be the poster on MN bemoaning that she has no friends but at the age of 35 there is probably a reason you're friendless

There was a post on the relationship thread a few days back. Poster had been shagging her new guy but he wasn't able to climax so she was looking for advice.

The MN brigade all congratulated her on finding a guy that didn't make the sheets 'icky'

What the actual duck!

Imagine if it were the other way round and a poster was saying she couldn't orgasm. Her partner would be accused of gaslighting and being manipulative and she better get her ducks in a row to leave

On a slightly different note the middle class uniform posters are giving clothes brand suggestions. Lots, thankfully I'd never heard of. There is one called Cabbage and Roses and yes it's a tit as you would imagine.

I like cabbage and roses and follow a few accounts on insta who dress from there and look absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately the price and the fact it doesn't suit anyone with boobs and hips means I can't wear it.

But then I do lean towards a not mainstream dress style and I'm fond of the Amish look 🤣🤣

I just love how they will always try to outdo each other in every way.

For example someone will ask about how much toilet roll they use in a day. Then will say they use around 2 as they have kids and a husband.

One user will reply with they only use 1 roll a week and only need 1 square per person a day, and if you use anymore than that you’re using too much, you will destroy the toilet and just throwing money down the toilet.

Then another will chip in and say they use 12 a day because their family wipe their a every 5 minutes to ensure their hole is sparkling clean.
I like the fury that gets unleashed when someone says they own a toilet brush.

And the they were disgusted for days when someone said they rinsed out their dog bowls and recycling tins in the sink before putting them through the dishwasher

Another lovely member of the Mumsnet community!

Yet none of them will post their own pictures for criticism will they? Bet they are all part of the #bekind brigade too

The problem with MN is it’s full of trolls these days because it has become too big. I joined it initially in 2004 when my older children were little and it couldn’t have been more different, then. People ‘knew’ each other.

The thing I most dislike is the people who are determined to disagree with you just to be nasty!

Must confess, I too sometimes dress a bit 'Amish Chic' in some of the brands discussed on those threads. The shame! 😅

One of my favourite tattle-isms is when the discussion in a thread gets sidetracked and a bit ‘MN’ and a tattler will make some comment like ‘Keep it on MN, no one cares‘. I think it just amuses me that we all instinctively know what is MN in tone/content etc.

I stopped being an active user around the time when a poster (called something that rhymed with GravyandShite) was posting just to witch plop on every thread, it was so tedious, and the second-hand cringe from it was irritating.

I try to never use the b word but I make an exception for witch plop because it describes the behaviour so perfectly.

I like them too and they always post nice comments on Instagram. Their bedding is lovely.

May have been posted before but this thread is baffling.
User eats ~1400 calories in a day and is told it’s too much and that bananas are bad.
