Big debate going on over there now about bathroom bins.
Who are all these weirdos that don't have one and put absolutely everything in the kitchen bin?
And for the love of God, stop referring to sanitary towels and tampons as "Sanpro"

You really do have to worry about the future of our society when the youth of today are walking into sandwhich shop wearing a lanyard. It scares the shit out our me especially since they seem to be infiltrating our leafy areas. Flaunting their wealth over their ham baguettes, I bet they’re even buying crisps you know. Even the hard as nails staff don’t seem to be a deterrent…. We’re all f@@ked

I remember one thread when a woman had covid and lived in the absolute middle of nowhere, miles from anyone and anywhere, and wondered would it be ok to walk her dog in the isolated countryside in the dead of night with a mask on. The sheer HORROR of MN suggested she’d asked if it was ok to go into an old people’s home and spit in their faces.
Absolutely insane.

When that blew up and became a huge media story the OP (or someone who claimed to be anyway) came back and posted a thread called something like ‘fuck you all you fucking cunts’ and ranted at them because her family and friends had been able to identify her and were taking the piss out of her. She was mortified, but then maybe she should have thought of that before?

One post today about ‘what are your evil experiences’ or something. Pretty light hearted (as much as could be on a post about evil anyway)…

Cue a flock of sesquipedalian posters who claim with authority that evil certainly doesn’t exist. Anyone who believes in evil needs educating. One poster who had been particularly verbose and matter of fact across many posts on the subject finally retorted to a simple comment of ‘define the word evil’. Use a fucking dictionary.

* sesquipedalian - people who deliberately use long words - occasionally to seem more intelligent than they are. It’s today’s word of the day on my app!

Just reading about the "harrowing experience" of the Mumsnetter receiving her shopping delivery without carrier bags! :ROFLMAO: These people walk amongst us!

The competitive under eaters are flocking to this thread like bees to honey. I mean how disingenuous is the OP: am I missing a trick? If everyone else in the world a fat bastard who eats TWO POTATOES apart from dainty little me?

Predictably the replies are “OMG two would make me feel sick”, “two would be an awful lot of carbohydrates”. Some debate about whether a jacket potato is acceptable as an evening meal (some say it’s lunch only) and one person who says she has hers with beans and broccoli. BROCCOLI.

Well done to these posters though:

Honestly I posted something about being sick of my husband playing golf because I feel stuck at home with the children and apparently he’s a terrible husband and I should be ashamed I let him get away with this.
Since being home I’ve not lifted a finger for our little boy, he’s cooked us all tea and now putting him to bed. I now feel awful that I just wanted to have a rant about how hard Motherhood is and basically I shouldn’t be with a man who wants to just do hobbies and use me for sex. 😂😂😂
Like I said, I will just stick to the tattle advice pages for a little anonymous moan 😂
You've potentially outed yourself by telling us your Husbands hobby! 😱😂

There’s an unsettling amount of creepy men on there wanting to have a wank

Like asking questions like how to wipe a baby girl.
Their barely teen daughters keep spilling out of their bras.
Their little girls wetting the bed.
AIBU that I asked my son/husband to buy my daughter tampons or towels?

That’s the type of pervy stuff they will always ask

Some of the responses are reasonable: "if you really like it wear it" or "would you consider a tight pencil skirt that wasn't from a sex shop?" But this being MN there's a lot less ... gentle comments:

"Everyone will think you're a hooker"
"It will show the world your butthole"
"Why not go the whole hog and wear a rubber suit and mask?"

(Not in those exact words but that's the idea)

There is also a current thread from someone complaining the word "frumpy" is sexist as we don't call men frumpy. And asking others to stop making fun of Boden. Not sure if also a troll but hey, Boden sells clothes for men, feel free to make fun of men who buy it
That
Is
A
Man

No woman describes her style as “feminine ditsy”.

I’ve been on mumsnet since 2004 (I know) and in many ways it’s been a life saver for me, helped me to see that I was suffering domestic abuse and I did eventually LTB

However it’s now, in later years, freaking bonkers. So many horrible, repressed, vile posters who all shop at Waitrose, drink 2 bottles of wine a night and think that’s normal.

Little old me in my minimum wage factory job, shop in primary and Asda and just normal..well I’m seen as a bit of scum really, I remember one thread I read where anyone with a minimum wage job was seen as a not worth dating as they had no career aspirations and too poor and boring. Fk me how shit.

The first one is inexcusable for them not to take it down tbh. You’ve got regular midwife contact for the first however many weeks of baby’s life, you don’t need showing twice do you. Absolute shithole allowing that carry on.

There’s a thread about a 14 year old boy having a bit of fun selling sweets at school and making a good profit, so of course a Mumsnetter comes along and says that he should register the business and pay tax 😂

AIBU watch!

"AIBU to think 21 years old isn't a 'young' mum?" = obvious humblebrag about having had her children very young.

"AIBU to want a 'naice' property in Manchester?" = what's with the f-ing "naice" all the time? Talk about beating the dead horse, it was a one off joke years ago, move on

"Carrie Johnson time to resign" = OP admits that Carrie is not elected yet somehow still feels SHE (not Boris) should resign, WTF?

Someone complaining of overweight neighbours allowing their child to eat a bag of crisps walking to school. While this is certainly inadvisable, the OP's tone is pure Mumsnet: "I was brought up in a culture where children eat healthy, nourishing breakfast at home (or at before school club), not crisps in the street!"

Someone not wanting their son to play rugby which OP associates with sexism and heavy drinking. Sane commenters point out the child is 5

Someone wondering if neighbours may be in trouble as they don't seem to be home, aren't answering the door etc. yet utilities and lights are on in the house. Another case of "for the love of God please do something about this situation, don't just sit there asking Mumsnet like a dummy" (yes, OP did report it)

I think that was AnyFucker
AnyFucker gave me grief for having a cleaner while pregnant once. I have asthma and the midwife said no chores. It was something along the lines that my husband should do the cleaning and must be a sexist pig for hiring a woman to do the chores and not doing his share.

Actually the sexist was her as the cleaner was a bloke and my husband worked away so wasn’t physically there to do the chores a lot of the time.

Hi , just looking for a bit of advice. Please be kind. AIBU to leave my 3 week old baby and my 5 year old for no more than five hours whilst I pop to the hairdressers and get my hair done. What do you think? I think I know the answer but wanted to ask the wise owls on here. You’ve been a font of helpful information.

Someone has asked on chat if the new McDonald’s veggie burger is nice. Someone else replied with a full list of ingredients and asked why anyone would want to eat it because it’s so “over processed” 🤣🤣🤣 it’s a bloody McDonald’s!! Why would you see the thread, having not tried the burger then set off to find the full list of ingredients & post them just to give everyone your judgmental opinion! Get a life 🤣
Edited to add - what did they think a Maccy is made off, silken tofu and quinoa!?
