Oh blimey I remember her. I mean, I can’t even comment on the hell she went through and how traumatised was, but she used it to win arguments all the time. I hope she’s doing better now. There also used to be a poster called ‘expatinscotland’ who used the fact that she was a bereaved parent as an excuse to be astonishingly rude to other posters and if anyone dared challenge her you’d be victim of a pile on because ‘don’t you know her child died’. Well yes actually and that’s awful, but it doesn’t give her a right to be so bleeping nasty to other people which I saw her do on many occasions.

From the age of 6 my parents made me walk 18 miles home from school in howling winds, blistering sun, bone chilling cold and drenching rain. She will survive like I did, don't mollycoddle her. Kids these days are all mollycoddled, it's why they're all obese and lazy and spend all their money at Starbucks and dominos. There's a thread on there at the moment, very strange woman. She doesnt want her husband to pick their daughter up from uni to come home for Christmas because a) she doesnt like the daughter much and b) she'd have to look after 3 younger kids, 2 with special needs for a whole 7 hours. I cant fathom it out at all. Of course there's a lot of competitive 4 Yorkshiremen style tales of epic journeys home from uni. Anyway the OP replies in very short sentences or just an emoji, doesnt want to elaborate or anything.
I sort of agree with her though, if the DD is becoming a spoilt stuck up madam it's time to start saying No and make her stand on her own two feet more. When I was a student I'd hate to have spent hours locked up in a car with family, I'd much rather have taken the train and I certainly wouldn't have asked or expected my parents to anywayThere's a thread on there at the moment, very strange woman. Part of the teacher standards is to uphold a good moral and ethical standard at all time. She is filmed slapping a horse. What more evidence is needed.Well looks like I’ve finally been banned from mumsnet for starting a thread saying that the teacher who was caught on camera kicking her horse during a hunt should be sacked and not allowed anywhere near children. Even though most of the replies agreed with me, there was one interesting post from someone presumably in the ‘mumsnet hierarchy’ who said they ‘disliketrial by media‘.I can only assume they reported me and the thread because that’s vanished as well. Trial be media?! The woman was filmed slapping and kicking her horse! Animal abuse is clearly acceptable on MN if the perpetrators as female and teachers by the looks of things![]()
Yeah I was wondering if the possible cannabis farm thread was a troll. Has all the hallmarks. Posts OP about neighbours heating their flat really high, drip feeds about a foreign teenager living there and blinds being shut all day, then despite all the good advice to report it, just keeps coming back to the thread saying they can’t do anything because xyz. They also keep the ones that are blatantly made up and are just a creative writing exercise for the OP. ‘Rainy puddles’ being the most obvious, but once you suss them out you notice them all the time. Probably one person under several sock puppet accounts.
The one where the neighbour put patio doors into a listed building opening out into the OP's garden and a Spanish grandmother turning up was as well. Got to something like 11 threads with poetry and a Trello board being created. They also keep the ones that are blatantly made up and are just a creative writing exercise for the OP. ‘Rainy puddles’ being the most obvious, but once you suss them out you notice them all the time. At least they'd have no problem getting the workmen to come back for any further jobsThere's a thread in active now named "Do you make a drink for anyone who comes to do a job in your house?" that's starting to get competitive! It's gone beyond the mandatory tea/coffee and biscuits and worked our way up through bacon sandwiches, sausage rolls, sandwiches, boxes of chocolates and now up to wine being offered. I wouldn't be surprised if someone posts that they offer all workmen blowjobs next

They love the creative writing threads even though they know it's fake as it sucks people in and encourages all the fantasists to keep writing.Mumsnet are very strange when it comes to deleting threads - they’re quick to delete ones about influencers/Instagrammers and yet keep others running.
