I was hoping some on here would pick up on both NathashaDancing and Prostitute Hair, they are terrible and really not the doyennes of fashion or style mavens they think they are. They are also dreadful bullies and very much of the belief that if they talk over others forcefully enough, it makes them right. It does not. I honestly think the midi dress and white trainer thread was started as an exercise to belittle anyone who wears these items rather than looking for genuine ideas about what to wear instead. In fact, I would say that anyone with any degree of style or nous about fashion wouldn't need to start a thread on Mumsnet about anything clothing related.I can't get enough of the Style and Beauty board right now, it's both batshit and wildly snarky.
There's a couple of posters, the aforementioned Natasha Dancing and the delightfully names Prostitute Hair (what now?) who are so snobby and pretentious that I can't believe they are real, they're like fictional creations.
Loving this post, I'm imagining her poncing around in her polo neck and sunglasses - groovy daddio!
" I don't do floral dresses (I can completely see you in the blue Bathsheba one that you posted though). I wear mine with cropped kick-flare cashmere trousers (black), black cashmere polo-neck, oversize cats eye sunnies.
It's a nod to the beatniks."
Prostitute Hair is especially vile and has tit taste in clothes. Those boots she shared are a hate crime.I was hoping some on here would pick up on both NathashaDancing and Prostitute Hair, they are terrible and really not the doyennes of fashion or style mavens they think they are. I have worked in and around fashion for most of my life and know a duck of a lot about it, so am always a little bemused when many claim something is a new trend when really, most fashion trends are cyclical and by a certain age, one has already worn something at least once, if not twice. My main takeaway is that if Mumsnet are talking about something, it's not really not something I would wish to wear. Indeed, I often look at some of the terrible clothing in the shops and wonders who the hell is buying it - the majority of Mumsnetters it seems.
Ignoring the shades of Boho which is gosh, at least twenty odd years ago when wearing western/cowboy boots was the thing, it's another look that's been around for ages but one that doesn't really garner much attention until a celebrity starts wearing it.I thought it was all about western/cowboy boots with dresses now? They were even on Chanel's catwalk. I'm not even that interested in fashion but that still permeated my brain somehow.
But the fact she waited until the day the rent was due suggests to me that she may not be 100% truthful, particularly after the name change fail. Some of the advice on that £200 needed thread really baffles me. So many people are so quick to say get an overdraft/get a credit card/some other form of credit. None of them ever seem to be able to comprehend that not everybody has access to things like that. If op is considering a payday loan then it would suggest she doesn't have great credit. And getting a credit card isn't going to make you able to make the payment instantly is it as you have to wait for it to be approved and to arrive in the post
Other people suggesting Deliveroo, taking in ironing, doing online tutoring as if you can just go and do that straight away and get paid instantly. Or people always recommending matched betting, but as some pointed out you have to afford the initial outlay for that, and if she could do that then clearly op would have the money to pay the rent
Oh you cynic ... I sent her some of my six figure salary as soon as I read the OP...But the fact she waited until the day the rent was due suggests to me that she may not be 100% truthful, particularly after the name change fail.
Those boots! OMG they were fugly.Prostitute Hair is especially vile and has tit taste in clothes. Those boots she shared are a hate crime.
Sorry I meant to say that I don't really believe it, my post was so long I forgot what I was trying to say I think it's definitely just a begging thread, it's just the weird advice everyone comes out with. They all seem to advise the same unrealistic optionsBut the fact she waited until the day the rent was due suggests to me that she may not be 100% truthful, particularly after the name change fail.
Only some of it? I sent her my ENTIRE 6 figure salary plus a cheeky bonus so she can treat herself to some posh chocs and a bottle of fizz.Oh you cynic ... I sent her some of my six figure salary as soon as I read the OP...
And a spa day. It's the answer to everything on MN.Only some of it? I sent her my ENTIRE 6 figure salary plus a cheeky bonus so she can treat herself to some posh chocs and a bottle of fizz.
Well tbh I didn't mention the spa day because I didn't want you poor Tattle people asking me for cash handouts as well as skint postersAnd a spa day. It's the answer to everything on MN.
On the money matters/cost of living section. £200 in one dayWhere's the begging thread? I should like to peruse!
The fact the mods over there let this fly but permaban other people for perceived slights can only lead to the conclusion that these beggy threads are Justine trying to drum up enough cash to keep the lights on for their 37 usersOoh the begging thread has got interesting. The OP has had a name change fail and her old name is linked to ANOTHER begging thread for a different reason at the beginning of the month.
