that’s for an actuary which is even more specialist and requires further years of qualifications . We will never know I suppose but £100k even in consulting world is a lot for early career. If you are topping that you won’t have a life and be constantly at the clients beck and call and chasing the billables. Not much fun for the wanna be von trapps and their electric biking extravaganzasFound this....for senior consultant based in London....doubt Kyle would be considered a senior manager though
I have said this previously- London rates I reckon the MOST he would be on is £70k. I’m not doing the same job but I’m a “professional” and I’m on nearly£100k with 20 years experience. (Going over £100k for me actually would cost me money because of tax so it’s actually not something I want unless I can jump to about £120k- yes I know first world problems!)How can someone who is newly qualified mba / ex army get £100k in the uk, consulting with limited industry exposure ? He’s like 2 years a graduated. I think shes delulu. Also.. pension.. tax.. NI.. it soon comes down. And are they planning on “paying her mums mortgage “ still ?
He was injured? I didn’t know thatI agree, I think he’s having trouble transferring to the UK office hence Caroline not waiting for him to move with them. I’m sure she’s said before he gets a pretty generous military payment each month due to having been injured so that might also be included in the £100k
As I said previously- this exactly! If you’re earning the big bucks then Caroline ain’t going to be getting the help she’s getting now. My company would NOT be happy if my partner nipped out to get nails done and left me “babysitting” and yes that’s what it is- don’t at me that it’s his kids too. If you’re working and looking after a kid at the same time you’re babysitting not parenting. I’m not being some boomer but there is no way I could do my job and have my kids at home. I’m all for work life balance, I switch off at 6, I parent until I check later that night but I get paid to work during that day, not look after my kid like Caroline thinks it’s ok for him to be doing this as it’s his duty to parent too. If she thinks her job is just as important then they should pay to have their kids in nursery/childminder.that’s for an actuary which is even more specialist and requires further years of qualifications . It’s a blessing and a curse! As I said……it means I’m working all the time. Holidays, I’ve got to do emails, pop on teams calls. My company is very good and they do try not to bother me but my last company didn’t give a tit and would call constantly on holidays or expect me to work weekends. So yeah it’s good money but they own me! That’s what I’m trying to say about Caroline, she’s very “they’re his kids too” yeah they are but he’s working doubly as hard and whilst he’s at home he supposed to be working not looking after the kids. I expect my husband to take the slack because I earn a lot more than he does. I’m not saying he doesn’t work as hard, he definitely does but we rely on my income and my job so he has to help a lot esp when I’m away for work etc. on my salary I could probably go down to 4 days a week but it’s pointless as I know I will just end up being asked to work on my day off so might aw well get paid for itI’m with you!
the NHS does NOT pay that well
But I do know that once you hit 100k your tax is about half I think so doesn’t seem that great in the end
My husband has a job in a specialised field and when he’s home working, he’s working. In fact even when he’s not working, he’s still working! That’s the reality of having a good job unfortunately. My dad (now retired) worked in health and safety. He has to have his phone on him at all times, never really got time off and had to come home early when there was a big accident and we were abroad. He has to get special permission for my sister’s wedding day to not have his phone on him working. It rarely happened, but when tit hit the fat, it really hit the fan. He really enjoyed his job and would often work mega long days (with the pay off that he could do airport pick ups etc in the middle of the day when we were at uni abroad) but he was so lost when he first retired and could actually do whatever he wantedMy husband has a job in a specialised field and when he’s home working, he’s working.
