Oh come on, take one for the team! Imagine between contractions shouting what a twit Lord of the Salads is!

Yes I really think she would be! They’re both so vacuous and as someone else has said we all see the sly digs he makes at her so why wouldn’t you come and have a nose? She was clearly addicted to have more than one profile on here previously, plus what else is she doing chained up in the attic?!
The heart palpatations I get stalking my ex on insta I can only imagine that's how she must feel scrolling this thread 😂 worrying about getting caught.... Again

Hahaha my other half is obsessed with this soap! To be fair I don’t think I’ve taken note of the smell but will give it a whiff when next in the shower!
No way?! It’s not black anymore, it looks as if the use of coal tar derivatives was banned at some point in the late 90s so now it just uses essence so you may be saved from the true horrors of what it was! I’m half tempted to buy some but I’m scared it’ll make me sick! Why is he a fan of it? I remember being actively scared of it as a child in the bath 😂

Yeah just wash yourself in tar.... makes total sense, no? 😫
It must have felt like lathering up a slab of tarmac surely?!

Read their wiki page and they seemed to have a factory in Southwark so I don’t know if it’s a south London thing, I always assumed it was an Irish thing as he’d row with my (English) mum when she’d buy Dove instead. Maybe it’s a workman thing cos apparently it’s good at getting rid of sweat?

In part he says he likes the smell and because he reckons it gives a good clean and doesn’t aggravate his skin?! He also said he remembers (fondly) his dad using it when he was a kid! I’m so tempted to go and wash my hands on purpose to use it simply so I can smell it now 😂

omg do and report back please! Where is he buying it from he must be sourcing it from a specialist?!

I remember as a kid we had this soap dish that was attached to the bathroom wall and protruded out where the horrid black bar would live. The four of us had joint bath time and we’d all be terrified of the soap & my evil sister would occasionally chuck it at one of us. I’m going to see if I have any bath time pics now...

It’s now a bright orange bar and he got them from Savers I think, in a multi pack so I can send you one if you really want?! 😂 I’ve just washed my hands with it - I don’t like the smell, it’s not overly offensive but a bit odd and not something I want to sniff either! It would appear the smell clearly doesn’t linger on my other half thankfully!

I couldn’t find the soap - gutted - but look at the beast of a ring this nurse / health visitor (wearing a green stripey uniform and a badge?) was wearing!

You couldn’t scrub the covid out of that clasp could you! Also fancy handling soft squishy babies with that weapon on you 😂

apparently it’s great for the skin so he must feel baby soft! hahaha bless you, thank you I’m very touched but I’m genuinely scared of making myself sick so may hold off til post pregnancy to sniff it again! I can’t believe they’ve gone from black to orange, you’d think everyone would settle on a nice white standard for soap by now?

sorry to derail the thread I am defs going stir crazy, off to go water my patch of mud for the third time today. We’re turfing it constantly in the hope of growing grass on it during lockdown. Insanity x

Thought this threads about the ODs not bars of soap?!
It is, sorry x

I love the smell. My dad used to use it - Mum and me used a flowery rose-scented Jergens one, but the smell of Wrights reminds me of Dad <3 <3

I remember carbolic soap too from my childhood, think it’s a type of coal tar - it smelled like it.
I think coal tar is good for psoriasis.

I've definitely cracked because I'm sat here laughing at everyone sharing their fav soaps, and you're so right, it's actually better than discussing Insta SODs!

I used to love the smell of that bright green disinfectant, I remember knowing it was wrong to enjoy it as it was only brought out when one of us had vomited...
