Sad that the little boy has to move again, away from his dad, to another new school. Pretty selfish. I don’t get the I’m a struggling single mum’ act. The dad plays a huge part in the boys life and there are loads more people that rarely get the time she does? My ex would be mortified if I announced he gives me duck all money. Looks like the new guy she’s seeing has moved with her. Although she rarely posts him and I always feel she’s going to stick him in the friendzone lol

Am I reading this correct??? Basically if you don’t engage with her ads....don’t follow her as it brings her “engagement” down???
Surely not and I’ve got the wrong end of the stick.....is she for bleeping real?
WOW! This is a new low for her. How entitled and arrogant. I think she’s probably been reading here and has a bee in her bonnet about it 😂

She's got a right bee in her bonnet with the #ad stuff. Moaning about it today and a few days ago. I don't know what point she's trying to make about it other than it's such hard work, like being down a mine or being a palliative care nurse. All she's doing is coming across as a bit of a mean girl, thinking all the non influencers are super jealous of her cool #sponcon life.
Snap! 🐝

You know she checks here as well so no doubt will soon be seeing some ranting posts about how we are wrong and how she’s still struggling etc. I honestly don’t know how people can stomach watching her say like if you don’t want to see her ads then done engage in her page because you’re ‘diluting her bag’. What about mothers who are probably on the bones of their a who look to insta for a break, not to see someone complaining about their privilege with their overfilled lips. I think it doesn’t help that none of the ads seem even genuine to her brand, no you don’t shop in M&S when you’re a skint single Mum, to the same families, Sky TV bundles are probably a luxury. It’s all so disingenuous and alienating.
Oh my god 100% this! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Her ads don’t suit her personal brand at all. It’s clear it’s all for the cash, which is totally fine Carrie, just be honest about it. That things with the M&S mini tit was terrible and she had no integrity when people called her out. I’ve also noticed she only replies to all the comments when it’s an ad as the brand will be looking at her engagement. So fake.

I know, I should have said another new sofa 😂

She’s even rude when clearing up a misunderstanding. Just because it was obvious to you ‘darlin’ doesn’t mean you have to be sarky about it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but without followers who will she be influencing exactly? 😂 duck me she’s worse than I thought.

She’s always been overly self entitled, even in the early days, but now she’s just exasperating. I’m not even aware of her ever really pushing her instahun mum products, it’s just her. Pure saturation. And I appreciate people putting up links and articles relating to BLM, I’ve personally found Instagram a really resourceful tool for this. But when she posts something it’s in such a preachy voice and condescending tone - she has her one public Black friend so she’s an expert. And why is she suddenly covering the child’s face?! We all know what he looks like and the bed he occasionally sleeps in!! What’s the bleeping point?!
She has like one design she rehashes every year. I’d say her real business is influencing and selling tees is to make her seem as she was in the beginning.

Oh god they are all doing the M&S Minnies 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m quite surprised she accepted that one, surely she can’t even afford to shop at Marks as she is so skint ain’t she!!

So off brand for her. I remember people questioning the plastic toys and she just said they’d be recycled or something like that. I’ve never seen her use anything from M&S other than that. Should do an #ad for deliveroo. Not on brand for a struggling single mum, but at least she uses it loads! 😂

Yep Deliveroo or Uber 😆😆
It’s so false, these “influencers” must think people are so thick if they actually think we believe they genuinely use these brands in actual life. No love, you are being paid to say this. It actually scares me that anyone is influenced to buy anything simply based on an instashama telling us to. Um, no actually darrrling I won’t.

Totally. I’m not that bothered about ads, i just ignore them. It’s the dishonestly I loathe. But more than that, speaking to her followers like she’s above any criticism and we should all just support her and unfollow if we’re not going to engage with ads 🤯 wtf!! Can’t decide if I’m going to unfollow her or just mute and ignore as mentioned above 😂

I stopped following her, but I’m off Insta anyway at the mo. But I do love hearing about how shameful these “influencers” are and their next latest moan 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Their disdain of their audience - yet these are the people that she is being paid to advertise too. If they have no followers then they would have no ads, simples.

I’m real life struggling single mum. I don’t have childcare and I work in a shop and juggle the school run around my hours which is chaos. I’m honestly unsure if she lives in the real world. Some weeks even shopping in Tesco is a luxury. I bought Tesco finest coleslaw and thought I was being posh. What’s her target audience cos advertising for M&S and spending over £20 really doesn’t suit the demographic she’s aiming at tbqh. £20 would get you half your weekly shop in Lidl. Its all getting a bit daft if you ask me.

I laughed at her announcement the other day on stories, after she had arrived in Margs - I’M TAKING A WEEK OFF! A week off from what babes?! ‘Just remember I only ever take a week off at Christmas’.... do me a favour, you did some tie dye T-shirts and thought you were v original. What are you actually doing? As someone else said - she’s basically now a full time ‘influencer’ and the mama merch is just tit side money now. Not going to comment on how she raises her child as I don’t know her relationship with the father etc but do find it fascinating how she keeps moving him around. One minute it’s we’ve got to be closer to his dad for his first year at school and the next it’s oh I’ve got a new boyf, who also has a child, and we’re moving to Margate cos it’s my dream. It’s exhausting watching all this moving about, just chill out! Maybe design an original product whilst you’re at it!

Right! I imagine many women would find Carrie aspirational as a self made woman and I support that completely but she seems like she’s subscribed to her own hype. Didn’t work out too well for MOD. A little humility wouldn’t go amiss.

Tbh I’d move from London too. So expensive! Her kids dads financial situation isn’t anyone’s business, or how they arrange their co-parenting. Would like to see her do some new things, but influencing must pay more. I don’t begrudge her that. Just wish she wasn’t such a tit about it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does anyone know the background to the post about people messaging people to say she was damaged goods? That really struck me as odd.

I get the feeling she won’t be in Margate for long, but I hope she does stays for sake of her little one. I moved from London and it’s tough to settle.

It’s no one’s business except that she talks about it openly on her insta and her podcast. So I feel it’s fair to comment.

I agree, she does! My comment meant that I wasn’t personally interested in their arrangement. Sorry if you thought that was to you 💐

No, not at all! No offence taken! I just thought it was worth pointing out that we shouldn’t know any of this stuff really - it isn’t anyone’s business - but she’s put it all out there herself. In fact, she’s made a business out of it!

It’s like when she says she never has any holidays but then has about 4 holidays that year.

Sorry, I missed this post earlier Violet 💐
The terrible thing with influencers is the way other mums could compare themselves and feel inadequate for not having all the things ☹

Her target market is so difficult to define. As far as I can see it’s womxn who aspire to be covered in tats, wear bras without underwire and act proper mardy most of the time.

I grew up in a single parent family and my Mum would treat us to the odd few bits from M&S once in a while. (She lived on Readybreak the rest of the week and I don’t what she was thinking.) My Mum didn’t didn’t flog an unrealistic lifestyle to other Mums. What she would have given for a free Sofa!

I think I followed her at first because I thought she was cool, down to earth and quite refreshing to the other mum accounts. I even bought the tears, hugs, rock and roll T-shirt’s! But I felt like the ads were too much, the freebies were endless and she started to get on my nerves, moaning all the time.

Whether it’s Carrie or MOD their target market is always new mums. It’s that identity shift that really hard to navigate in the early years. Can be quite lonely too. Our need to belong is exploited by them all. Carrie is just the same, just cooler than most. I think she could move away from the mamamerch if she wanted to, but tricky as it’s her thing. I don’t think she should only rely on ads for income though. Doesn’t feel very stable esp after this year. I genuinely want things to work out for her, but think she’s a little immature about #ads etc. Hopefully this will change and she’ll be more professional.

Aa
