We have a successful medium size family business. Obviously no where even close to freedman/lavigne. We have made sure both our older kids (who are now out of school ) had casual jobs outside the family business, as well as helping us when needed and have now gone and studied in different fields. should they want to come back into it in years to come at least they’ll have some life skills and experience beyond mummy and daddy . And be respected by other employees.

I wouldn’t call this interview positive. If anything it makes them sound like a bunch of weirdos. And the identical hair styling is so ick.
oh I totally agree, it sounds like an absolute nightmare of a life for everybody involved but I think Mia participated in the interview etc thinking it would be a positive interview/story

I know it's not the point of this story but Dutchminty didn't completely block out the profile pics of the people who responded when she posted last night and I think that's really irresponsible, you could recognise someone if you follow them, especially if they work at Mamamia, its meant to be anonymous.

I haven’t checked out Mamamia for awhile but I did today much to my regret. She is touting her new Women Over 40 podcast with a bunch of celebs. I tried to listen to it but couldn’t stand it. Mia said on Instababble she worked on it for a year. Worked on what? A bunch of shrill women trying to outdo each other and thinking they’re hysterically funny. They’re not. And clips of Mia wearing bag lady clothes saying if it’s wrong it’s right. She looks so wrong it’s just wrong. She may think it’s fun and if she was 18 maybe it would be but it just looks like an older woman trying too hard.
I’m perplexed how this organisation makes money - I really am. They have so many employees, not many sponsors, and they’re always trying to get subscribers, which suggests they’re not flush with cash. The only decent one is Holly - the rest have nothing of interest to say. I really can’t see this company lasting much longer.

Haha joke is he probably isn’t even on a salary. Just gets a nice little payout via the family trust every year, Jessie is likely to be on the same bandwagon. Easy tax dodge considering they’re all family

Love the subtle sass in that article.

I know Jessie loved to be all relatable and say how she was poor and everything is expensive, I only listened to cancelled and no other podcasts of hers but I have to assume she has dropped that schtick by now?
Both her parents were teachers and I believe she grew up somewhere around Ryde? That's not working class, she needs to stop making out like she grew up poor.

A little tidbit.. Mia feels guilt at not being able to speak more about Oct 7. I guess she stands by her ‘send flowers’ comments then…

He was disgusting! So horrible. I hope he has grown up since then. I remember late in the pregnancy Jessie recounted losing control of her bladder (because there's a baby using it as a fucking trampoline) and Luca walks in and says "the standard you walk past is the standard you accept" or something completely snarky.
My husband would be helping me clean up and running me a shower and change into clean clothes without a negative word because he knows I'd be mortified, even if it isn't uncommon for pregnant women.
Wow, sounds like Luca was raised by a strong feminist… not

Can’t stand Carly Sophia with her anorexic body checks, ultra sexualization and try hard cool girl vibes, but I do appreciate that she calls out MM

Interested in actually how much these writers get paid

Mia never went to university herself, she seems the type to not want her children to one up her…
Her lack of tertiary education really shines through given the number of business fuck ups Mamamia has endured along with the regular spelling and grammar errors 🙈
