I love that Carly doesn’t hold back. I wish others weren’t so scared but maybe no one has asked them.

I would love Claire to speak up but she will never which is fair.

Have completely lost their way. I used to listen to pretty much all their pods every week. But after MIA consistently refused to discuss Gaza and made her flippant ‘should we send them flowers’ comment, I couldn’t on principal support anything her company produced . Added to that the pods had become like a Lavigne family chat and they didn’t take any feedback onboard. I’m still perplexed how they rank so highly in the ITunes podcast charts.

I can't even tell you how much I would gossip about a female colleague dating a colleague 8 years younger. Or any colleagues dating or hooking up.

I am a petty bitch who lives for drama!
I would actually talk about nothing else and would get nothing done.

The thought of working alongside my MIL sounds so stressful but so does hooking up with the son of someone I worked for. Even someone who seemed like my friend at work, that dynamic would just be awful.
There are so many layers:

- hooking up with someone you work with
- hooking up with someone you work with's son
- hooking up with your boss's son
- marrying them and having a baby entrapping you forever

I don’t want this to be the case, but I reckon Luca and Jessie will be divorced within 5-10 years. She’s always seemed more into him than he to her, and she pressured him having children when he was very young. I totally agree there will come a point where he realises he’s done absolutely nothing with his life except toe the line and he’s going to rebel hard.

Just little comments he’d make about her body during pregnancy etc I saw clearly that he wasn’t really ready to have kids, I’d have been devastated if my husband was so immature about pregnancy and birth.

So if out loud is going to talk about Indy’s PI case, are they also going to talk about Gaza? Mia? You going to talk about Gaza yet?

If it’s true (which I think it is given she hasn’t denied it) it’s such a weird move - why didn’t they make him a shareholder or pay him that kind of salary from a trust? Absolutely wild if they put that on the payroll for someone who is clearly not experienced enough to be getting that salary.

Also as he hasn’t been in the role that long - did he go through a hiring process? Was anyone else in the company about to apply and interview? Was he truly the best person for the role? Highly doubt all of the above.

I also don’t really buy Jessie ‘accidentally’ falling pregnant. I know accidents happen so I’m not saying they don’t, but I think she baby trapped him
She said they "were not not trying" which to me is exactly the same as trying. If you're not actively trying to prevent pregnancy, you're trying to get pregnant.

Yuck. Shameless have interviewed Mia for their latest podcast inherited. Surely there are better people to interview ? I’ve unfollowed and left a review. Feel free to do that same

Listening to Holly talk about "Not Like Us" by Kendrick Lamar is making me cringe. First she says it "has the clever, clever line of 'this strikes a chord and it's probably a minor'" while they all sing-song "a minor" (off key) not A-minor, where Lamar pronounces the actual letter because of the double entendre. She also calls it a "bang-ger".

Has anyone been able to stomach Jessie's interview in Inherited yet? I saw a clip from it of her talking about how the age gap didn't matter - piqued my interest a bit
The portion I watched made me think that she preyed on him. She realised he was young, dumb, easily influenced and easy to control. I have no doubt she slept her way to the top via Luca

Anyone read this?
Mamamia twins part ways
It's no secret in our industry that Mia Freedman, the founder of 'women's network' Mamamia, commands almost cult-like loyalty among her (mostly) female staff.
So we were shocked to learn one of her most loyal acolytes, one-time executive editor and podcaster Clare Stephens, resigned in January after nearly a decade.
Clare wasn't just a long-serving foot soldier in Freedman's media empire; she was a powerful figure in the newsroom and central to the Mamamia brand as one half of 'The Twins', alongside her sister, Jessie Stephens, with whom she shared a newsroom, career and job title. (Apparently a womb wasn't enough.)
Her reason for leaving?
Apparently Clare wants to forge her own path as a solo media personality separate to Mia and her twin sister. She's already done a very Mamamia-y piece for Sydney's Morning Herald newssheet about what a bad egg Ben Cousins is.
And she has a book coming out called The Worst Thing I've Ever Done which is, er, all about fictional women at a fictional women's media company. Fancy that!
The story follows a female journalist whose life is turned upside down after she 'unexpectedly outrages' a high-profile interviewee, leading to a social media pile-on.
Hmm... sounds familiar?

She lives in an area with the largest population of Jewish people in Australia, I'm sure there are some Pro Palestine people in that area who feel they have to be silent about their beliefs..

He was disgusting! So horrible. I hope he has grown up since then. I remember late in the pregnancy Jessie recounted losing control of her bladder (because there's a baby using it as a fucking trampoline) and Luca walks in and says "the standard you walk past is the standard you accept" or something completely snarky.
My husband would be helping me clean up and running me a shower and change into clean clothes without a negative word because he knows I'd be mortified, even if it isn't uncommon for pregnant women.
