Mia not paying or low balling staff is a constant theme with Mamamia. Pretty disgraceful to treat her mostly young female staff that way especially when she expects them to churn out articles about equality and empowerment.

It shouldn’t be surprising it turns out they’re running a protected workshop for Mia’s family members but I’d love to be a fly on the wall of some of those group chats today 😂 I bet the staff HATE them

If Mia and Jason want to give their kids 300k of pocket money per year then that is their choice; it’s their money to do with. I think the issue that Mia has overlooked hiring a female with experience for the role - look at some of the women who Shameless have hired.
Agree 100%

That and the fact that MM is notorious for paying its largely very young, mostly female, workforce very poorly.

Coupled with their atrocious maternity leave policy, it’s a really bad look to be paying their son such a large salary with no higher education and a background in bartending.

I don’t doubt she gets anti-Semitic abuse directed at her. I know she did when she went on Channel Nine’s Today Show and was all “whatever, who cares, it’s just sport lol” about Cadel Evans winning the Tour de France. Doesn’t mean her views on Israel/Gaza can’t be criticised, though.
Or the time she compared being a p…ophile to being gay on The Project?!

Luca looks so much like Mia (& not in a good way). Can't believe Jessie saw this & decided to go for it. Has anyone seen him irl? Are these photos particularly unflattering? View attachment 3500745
Gosh they're all* so ugly. Jessie's horrible eyeliner makes her ugly.

*with the exception of the baby they named after a dog** because snarking on babies isn't okay

**this probably isn't true but seriously every bloody dog is called Luna these days

This might be a reach but hear me out- she’s copped a lot of (very fair) criticism for not talking about Gaza. Now all of a sudden more media outlets and influencers are talking about it and it’s going to become even harder for Mamamia as a media organisation to continue to ignore. Maybe her stepping away allows the podcast to start talking about it more while also keeping her zio friends happy because it’s not her doing the actual talking.

What a surprise that it hasn’t been mentioned. Zero about the protests or the police brutality just lots of banal shit about MAFS and beauty launches. Cause that’s all ‘women are talking about ‘ 🙄‘ I genuinely don’t know how they’re still in business . The writing is so poor, they treat their staff (apart from the nepo ones and the chosen few) like shit and underpay them. And the topics are boring as shit & repetitive. Have a mix of topics FFS

How does she like in that mess all the time ? I know she apparently has ADHD but surely if she can run a business she can pick her shit up off the floor ? Especially since she’s medicated . Or get her housekeeper to do it.

This is what gets me too. Wouldn’t Mia, or at least Jason, want them to get some real life experience and at least pretend to stand on their own two feet?
Even the Royals often do a stint in Defence or similar.

Luca is on track to have a full blown mid life crisis by 30 when he wakes up and realizes he’s done nothing with his masses of privilege and opportunities.
I think it says a lot about what a joke of a company it is that they will appoint an uneducated kid to the role of COO. Guessing they don’t have other outside investors/shareholders… I don’t see how it’s fiscally responsible, just stupid

For example - Mia’s very wealthy aunt and uncle have been written about for funding AIJAC’s Rambam Israel Fellowship which exists to normalize the occupation by sending journalists on lavish trips to Israel to manipulate news coverage and politicians to turn Australian policy to better benefit the Zionists. Her aunt has been quoted saying this. “‘I am actively impatient with all those Hassidim in their 16th-century costumes. They make me feel anger and revulsion.” A Jewish group that has historically been anti-Zionist.

Okay so gritted my teeth and watched episode 2 of Strife because I absolutely love Nina Asher Keddie. It’s just so bad. Truly cannot understand why anyone would sign up for this. Every character is a caricature of themselves. The “Indian” actress cast to so obviously be Jamila is such a cringe representation of her, obviously designed to be some kind of stab. The muddled, over stimulated, stressed out and dysfunctional “genius” they are trying to paint Mia as isn’t working, it just makes for an absolutely painful and extremely predictable watch. Absolutely nothing has happened in the entire series …how did this script get off the ground? How did the series premise even get a green light? Who is Mia paying?

Mamamia is on struggle street overall. They seems to be lost on any form of direction maybe the hope is Luca will bring that back, but I’m not so sure. Like the above article mentions it’s hypocritical to have a male as the ceo when your “supposed” to be championing woman (even though it known Mia doesn’t always).
The simple issues with the pod quality have been expressed ( Ad repeats, the pods stops/restarts with a many other issues) yet all Mamamia can say is it’s apples fault. Yet I’ve got no other issues with any other pod on Apple. That alone and the flippant nature is really off putting for a business that wants to keep the people.
