Honestly tho, if I was a nepo baby I’d take it too 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m not saying he shouldn’t take the money, I’m saying Mia should have been smarter with how she is giving it to him - usually rich people are waaaay more clever than this with how they fork out their wealth. They could have set him up with shares to the tune of $150k payouts and put him on a $150k salary and no one would have batted an eyelid. Putting him on a very-undeserving $300k salary just to make sure your nepo baby isn’t poor is WILD.

I did work experience years ago at Cosmo when she was the editor, and even as a 16 year old I could see she was a bitch, the way she spoke to her staff was just gross. I remember coming home and telling my mum I would never be a boss like that if I got the opportunity to manage a team, it put me off wanting to work in magazines, glad I took another route that pays a shit load more! The fact that she’s hated has nothing to do with her being Jewish, she’s a just a flat out bitch!

It’s hilarious how Mia goes missing as soon as she’s asked to be remotely accountable for her actions. She was the ‘victim’ with Roxane Gay, she was the victim when she said ‘what should Israel have done? Send flowers?’ In response to a genocidal war, and she’s the victim now it’s open that she’s paying her unqualified children mega salaries.

Sorry, I didn’t know there was a time limit on being outraged about babies being murdered and innocent people being captured who are still being held hostage?

Anyway not to de rail the thread on the Israel/Palestine issue, but it’s important to put the other side of the coin out there - there seems to be a lot of anti - Mia feeling here which does give a tone of anti semitism about it as well.
Bullshit it’s antisemitic. Look how far this thread goes back.
There’s anti MIA feeling here? Wild on Tattle!

The interns got a mention at the end of Outloud today, one is named Coco, I'm assuming that's Mia's daughter so she should be head of some department shortly just like her brother

Of course Mamamia is starting a birth podcast. Way to rip off Australian birth stories, can’t they think of an original idea without stealing someone else’s
Jessie is just desperate to bore us all to death about hers again that's all
Next up - "what did you get for your ATAR??"

Found it pretty offensive that they would create a (very pale) imitation of Australian birth stories, which is an independent woman owned business that has just been so organically excellent for women in Australia. Not very ‘lady start up’ of them.

Is she really 8 years old and banged the intern? Ick. If their genders were reversed…it would be so called out

I also don’t really buy Jessie ‘accidentally’ falling pregnant. I know accidents happen so I’m not saying they don’t, but I think she baby trapped him

Love that Carly Sophia is talking about the terrible pay for writers.

It’s absolutely galling that Mia exploits the women who work for her. She spent years claiming contributors didn’t want to be paid, they just wanted exposure. When she finally started paying it was only because she was being publicly criticised. Fifty dollars an article is pathetic. If they have $300,000 to throw away on their nepo baby, they can afford to pay their writers decently.

Just shows she has zero regard for company culture. What moron would put their unqualified son in such a top tier role never mind the ridiculous salary. Read the room Mia, 7 years from content producer to COO or whatever he is, unheard of in any corporate organisation. Pay your staff better and stop being a tyrant. Feedback is a gift, eat some humble pie and take it onboard. I would die if I had a reputation like she does, imagine having a boss like that? I know people that have worked there, smart people and they all have said the same thing, she has her favourites and everyone else is just scum to her.
