I’m sorry wait a second...brave ??? I wasn’t around then
Yep. See also ‘very scary’. Terrifying to go live in your parents spare cottage and work for mummy and make weight loss videos in your spare time.

Fair play she’s become rather wealthy off the back of it but very scary? Anyway just find it fascinating that the privileged freeloading + cottagecore combination is an actual thing to the point it’s being noticed as a trend.

Whereas if I moved back home to my parents I would be brave as it would be 4 adults with a teenage sister who’s a lot younger than me, 2 cats plus my cat, in what is essentially a 2 bed flat with my old room now being an office/dumping ground. And I would be risking prison as I’m sure someone would end up dead

She hated her job and felt miserable and lonely. Going home for a while is a normal thing to do for a comfort blanket no? Literally nothing brave about it. I did it at 27 after a bad break up. Was it a very scary decision? Was it duck, getting taken care of for a while was the easiest thing to do.

Honestly as someone from a working class family, her being able to just move back to her parents is one hell of a privilege. If I wanted to move back in with my mum, I’d have to take a single suitcase and live on her couch. I get that it’s not ideal to move back home as an adult, but ‘scary’? Come on.
I tried watching some of her videos again lately, I used to really enjoy them and found her relaxing, now I find her boring and even less relatable. I’m certainly no minimalist, but I’m nowhere near her level of consumer, it’s baffling that she’s not changed her branding yet.

I wonder if the bad thing she was taking time off social media for was the leaky ceiling. Who knows, but of course back for an ad!

In the comments of the fabulous nominations, there was an influencer who said they turned down being in last year's shortlist, as they don't support the Sun or want to be associated with them.
Might explain why they are scraping the barrel with nominations, anyone with an once of self respect would not want to a part of the 'green' award 🙄
Didn't seem to bother Maddie though!

Not surprising given she’s basically told her audience she’s offline (unless it’s for ADs of course). Wonder if she’s being paid to do this
I don't think she spends her free time making bug houses out of old tomato cans unless there's money involved 😂

See, That's what we need more of! I'm kind of surprised that Maddie is OK with being associated with the Sun, even despite her recent behaviour. She really has changed, or maybe we're seeing more of who she is.

Mutti are stupid if they did not put a clause in the contract making Maddie’s payment dependent on her bringing a minimum number of people to the live event based on a % of her following.

So I'm guessing her 'brand' these days is being an ally of any greenwashing company that is willing to pay her enough to ensure a constant supply of faux-antique brass fittings and fixtures. Had she even bothered to do some research she would have discovered that Mutti is one several companies linked to exploitation (and death) of workers in southern Italy. No thanks. Also, the bee-house thing is another greenwashing scam. I know a lot of people do it, but unless you can be sure the tin cans are BPA lining free (most are not) then it's not actually very beneficial to native bee populations. Plus the metal is not an insulator so the bees are subject to temperature fluctuations which they hate. Far better to make a frame out of old (unpainted / untreated) timber scraps, and clean cardboard. Gee, you'd think that someone doing renovations on her Georgian-Cottage-Country-Farmhouse-Manor-Princess-Palace would have an abundance of such things lying around to make use of....nope, once again, it just demonstrates that every thing she does is motivated by money. She's become exactly like all those influencer fakes who are massive consumers but then shriek about how amazingly sustainable they are because they have a bamboo straw in a dinky wee case ..oh and here's my discount code.
(Not that I have anything against reusable straws etc, but most of us don't act like we deserve a medal for using them!)

You would think since she has two employees, one of them could be tasked with research. It is getting embarrassing for her now.

she doesn't care just like all the other influencers. because most people following her don't care either. they want to feel good about "being sustainable" without actually doing anything. maddie reflects that by saying she's sustainable but not actually sticking by those ethics.
