I agree - and I think that’s how she’s specifically requested it to be done. I’m sure at her old cottage after she had the fireplace repointed she went on IG stories to check if anyone else agreed with her that it hadn’t been pointed enough. Very pointed (lol) ‘has this been done properly does anyone know?’ Of course her followers said she should have it how she wanted it and she called the tradespeople back to do more. I get it, it’s your house but it just doesn’t look good.

Hasn’t she changed them because she wants everything matching and she has more cupboards and drawers also she did say she was going to use them in a different room, I just don’t get why she hasn’t sanded the floors before getting fitted furniture

I know this has already been touched on, but WHY would you install such deep, large cupboards by a main window?! They block out so much natural light! During the winter months that kitchen is going to be super dark to film videos!

Also funny in her previous video she says how great it is to 'do it yourself'. Then at the end of this video she's moaning that the painting is too much and she's getting a decorator in?!




It's literally eye watering how much money they are spending on tradesmen.
I don't know how it all works, but Is she really making that much money with 80k insta followers and 40k views per video?
Something tells me her/Alex's family have gifted them a lump sum, but I could be wrong.

I would definitely say they are getting family money for that house, posh rural brits love an old, cold, shabby stone house

It gets round trades people we know first hand, our next door neighbour is a nightmare with trades people and when ringing up places we are like yep that’s not us! They had been black listed from so many people and because we share the same postcode quite often get told they can’t cover the area then we explain we are next door and get booked in right away . She will probably have her quotes hiked and they will be the bottom of her priority list.

Her attitude to trades people is so snobby and gross. She thinks because she’s done a tiny amount of entry-level DIY it qualifies her to make comments.

I hope she gets blacklisted so that it’s even harder for them to get the work done, she’s not deserving of these people’s time.

Hot take for Maddie, none of these people have to do work for you. They can decline work at their discretion, for example if they've seen you slagging off other tradespeople online. Just as influencers can choose which brands to work with, none of these people have to work with you! Also, as she's previously complained about not understanding why she's had to wait, why would anyone prioritise customers with that attitude? Of course you prioritise the pleasant people who aren't entitled.

Shelby had a beautiful sustainable wedding last year, maybe I'll send Maddie a link to that.

Just a simple registry office wedding, everyday clothes, no rings and a lunch in a restaurant afterwards..... no spending on catering, photographers, venue, decor etc. Each to their own, but someone tell M that she doesn't *need* an aesthetic wedding with all the pomp in order to get hitched, especially when aligning herself with sustainability.
