she just wants a bigger kitchen and wants to do it all now and is just using being a food blogger as an excuse. I mean she lived in a cottage with a very old - a lot less asthestically pleasing and alot smaller kitchen for years while doing up every other part of the house. So it obviously wasn’t that important then. And the new houses kitchen is already alot bigger and nicer that her previous. If she was honest and said I wanted to do work to it, we were having the new fridge cabinets installed and the fireplace done and thought let’s do it all in one go id respect it. But the insesant “I’m a food blogger it’s necessary” “it’s a requirement if my job” is grating and false. Especially patterned with the whole “live in a place for a while to really find what’s important” “I want to show the realistic common folk reno where not everything is done and perfect straight away” “show a reno online where money isn’t endless and you have to do it slowly” - less than 6 months before you start is not slow nor is it waiting to see what really matters to you - besides actual safety risks electrics, fireplace and maybe windows
P.s. I actually would enjoy it a lot more if she worked with what she had and instead made videos about using what storage you have. How to make the most out of it, what’s essential in a kitchen when you don’t have endless space etc.
