TBF our current cats go nowhere near any cut flowers and we cut the stamens out of lilies if we get any in the house. My old cats would have tried to have a bite for sure, but not all cats are the same! One of ours would prefer to lick anything plastic than go near flowers
and the other is too lazy to even jump up where the flowers would be kept.so all her values just go out the window now she has money huh? it's really disappointing see because it means all her talk about sustainability was just greenwashing

I've been watching Maddie since 2016, loved her content because it was the polar opposite to consumer channels like Zoella during a time when I was really starting to embrace minimalism.
To be honest I feel a bit duped by her now. She doesn't seem to stand for any of her old believes anymore, I watched an old vlog from her and it seems like a different person ...for the worse

Had to laugh at her story where she says she’s going to stop painting herself because she wouldn’t have it done by October and she’s found a decorator that has time in September. That’s not much different, she just has money to throw at the problem.
And unless she’s bought an eco one, which I highly doubt, she can literally get in the bleeping bin claiming she lives a sustainable lifestyle while owning a hot tub.

I know this has already been touched on, but WHY would you install such deep, large cupboards by a main window?! They block out so much natural light! During the winter months that kitchen is going to be super dark to film videos!
Also funny in her previous video she says how great it is to 'do it yourself'. Then at the end of this video she's moaning that the painting is too much and she's getting a decorator in?!
It's literally eye watering how much money they are spending on tradesmen.
I don't know how it all works, but Is she really making that much money with 80k insta followers and 40k views per video?
Something tells me her/Alex's family have gifted them a lump sum, but I could be wrong.

I looked into getting a decorator to paint my house. It's only a small two bedroom terraced house..the price was eye-watering (for my budget at least!) and considering it doesn't take that long to do with a couple of people, didn't seem worth it. It's really shocking to think how much Maddie is spending on this renovation.....
The whole plant is toxic, not just the stamen/polllen. So it's a risk I don't make with my cat, personally. But I do get that some cats just don't care about cut flowers, and removing the stamen does lower the risks. Oh she did get a feel of the place don't you know... for a whole of 2 months. Don't think we had finished unpacking properly in that time

Her sentences are: "something something something because something something something because something something because...." I cannot unhear it now, sometimes she uses 5 because in one long sentence. She speaks like a 5 year old. There are more conjuctions out there, Maddie!
Yes she really likes the sound of her own voice! (Which I guess all YouTubers do to a certain extent!)
I think as well it's just the fact the vlogs are edited so badly. There's so much much unnecessary explaining and repetition of EVERY SINGLE DETAIL over and over (cupboards, window seat, painting ect). It's all very interesting to them, but as a viewer I find myself fast forwarding 1/2/3 minutes ahead and she's still taking about the same thing!
I noticed this just last week! I only noticed it as she pronounces the word "because" different to me. So I started noticing it more and more then realised she uses it in every sentence, multiple times per sentence!
I think Maddie is stuck in that egocentric part of her brain development where you are still relying on people to pander to your every need.
Also I really like Alex and he needs an award for sticking with Maddie but that neck beard needs to go..

No chance!I am not going to watch her new video. I think it might be a bit too obscene to me.
So I admire her honesty in the new video, however I don't think it's going to win her any new fans and may actually alienate existing ones. I think I'm going to take a break from watching her channel tbh, those kind of figures are pretty galling for anyone that earns a normal wage. Nothing about them or their lifestyle is relatable to me anymore which is a shame.
Case in point: Doing up the Aga is going to cost £7k, so they're not going to rush it and are going to wait... Till next year! I mean that's not really waiting is it?!

I'm surprised there aren't more comments highlighting this on yt! I somehow doubt she would have made the video were a financial services sponsor not involved.

I was thinking pregnancy announcement but that’s only cause I’m pregnant myself so super aware of any hints to “announcements” - but she’s been in a hot tub with what looks like prosecco over the past couple weeks, and decorating with fairly harsh chemicals on a ladder so I really doubt it, unless they’re super haphazard.What do we think she is announcing in three days?
