Yes! Plus the people who admit to things for notoriety-bizarre! Although I think without any kind of proof or info that only someone who did it or was involved would know, any kind of snap confession would be thoroughly investigated and if it’s a deathbed confession that wouldn’t be possible. It would also be so cruel for someone to do that as it wouldn’t be able to be properly investigated
Yeah I didn’t think it through properly.

I feel like she was coached into it, by a lawyer or something (Maybe Gerry?) and maybe took it to the extreme. I know people do get advised to answer no comment to certain questions sometimes.... I dunno I’m just trying to think of any possible scenario where you’d act like this.. I just can’t get past withholding information from the people who are trying to help find your child, it makes no sense.
I think you could be right about the coaching of answers, but they have to accept that if you can’t give any answers then people will fill in the blanks themselves.

The only reason this came about is due to the calpol syringe. Which isn’t used to sedate.

of course no one can prove Madeline wasnt sedated- but why would she be? The twins weren’t. Why would anyone think that’s an obvious thing to happen?

kate used to be an anaesthetist. She’s one of the last people who would accidentally kill their child with sedatives.

are posters above claiming kate and Gerry called sky before the police? That’s completely untrue

Why would they be exonerated? That’s not what the police do. The police don’t go around proving people innocent of crimes.
Actually, the talk of sedation came from the Mccanns themselves!
Kate wrote that the twins had always been sound sleepers but this "seemed unnatrual" she said she was scared for them and checked her breathing and "wondered" if madeline had been given a sedative by her abductor to keep her quiet.
Then, after speaking with police on 3rd august they said of kate

their friends & family also kept mentioning the possibility of sedation
2nd Oct, Kate's mum said it.
19th Nov Gerry said the twins slept so soundly "which does make you wonder if substances were used."
2008 a mother of one of the Tapas friends also said it.
Fiona Payne also said "it seemed weird they didnt wake up"
And in Oct 2009, 2 former detectives, employed by the Mccanns said they were "convinced" the abductor used something like chloroform.

The twins unusually deep sleep raised eyebrows and I guess this was their way of putting the spotlight on the abductor. Or perhaps they were worried her body would be found and were planting the seeds to explain any trace of toxins.

Not to my knowledge, I don’t think they have addressed much at all which doesn’t help their cause. It’s all too shrouded in secrecy and all that does is raise people’s suspicions rightly or wrongly.

Something is niggling me about the no comment thing. First of all she must have known that saying no comment would thrust her into the limelight and if they were so smart to be involved in this (hide her body in such a way it still wouldn’t be found years later) then they would have thought of a way to answer the questions? Weren’t some of the questions really seemingly easy to answer, not incriminating just general questions. I’m sure she was told to say no comment the same was she was told not to cry in front of the media. I’m gonna try and find the questions I’m probably wrong. But the same way that people question why they are keeping this in the spotlight, is the same way I feel about why would she do something that would blatantly make her look guilty?

From what I remember it was their lawyer advised them to say no comment..

Yes that’s what I had heard/read aswell about the possibility the kidnapper had given them something

I think they keep it in the spotlight because they have convinced themselves they’ve done nothing wrong, only problem is trying to prove that to other people . There will be no closure without a confession/conviction/body

Has anyone watched ‘itscatila’ Instagram story highlights on the whole situation? Very scary and sad
Oh wow I’ve never seen this before thanks, I was literally just about to look into this storey about how Freud had them over for dinner after.

I have read in numerous places online that Kate McCann said that the morning before she disappeared, Madeleine asked her parents why they didn’t come last night when she cried ( I have read this on reddit and news websites- -I can’t find the direct quote.) ☹ those children should not have been left alone.
I’m almost certain Kate said this herself on the crime watch appeal in 2013.

Straight facts.

I knew it had come from somewhere (The sedating comments). There is just SO MUCH when it comes to this case. So much that isn’t common knowledge too but is freely available to read on the net. We’ve been spun a right story I reckon when it comes to the abduction theory. All the info is out there for people to read, a lot of it doesn’t get printed in the mainstream media. Who knew about Yvonne Martin for example? Or Mrs Fenn? It’s up to the individual what they make of it as non of it is definitive but it doesn’t look good to me.

I agree, it’s just too ‘mysterious’

Long time lurker and have finally caught up!

What is the evidence that this German guy had something to do with it? I know there were comments made on chat rooms, but could it be that he just said that? The MM case was very well known so it's would be easy to say "it was me", especially someone who has a history with those sort of crimes already. It could give him his five minutes of fame, so to speak. Oh, and something to do with a phone call/van in the area. I could be way off mark but I'm just not sure I'm buying he had something to do with it.

I also spotted this comment on a YouTube video linked a few pages back - I remember her saying something about a dream. Just found it interesting!

One of the nurse I work with is Portuguese and over there they all think the parents did it. He also used to go about about them burying her in the hills and Kate’s dream - had forgotten about that

There are at least a couple of You Tube readers who think exactly that.

I get such an 'off' feeling about the father (not spelling it out in case they come after me!) ... he's so far up in the Freemasons it's not funny; and Kate just seems like a mind-controlled puppet.

Look up the death of Barbara Leyland - "they" definitely got to her, and nothing will change my mind about that.
The dad makes me feel uncomfortable also, it's the way he seemed very aggressive and agitated but in other videos where he wasn't being filmed by the media he seemed all happy and jolly. I also read what someone posted last night and the way he said to the woman above them 'a girl has gone missing' instead of saying 'my daughter' was odd for me...
