Mumsnet are very pro McCann’s …
Odd as they usually have hysterics about leaving children alone even to go to the loo until they're around thirty.

Of course, Justine probably has a connection somewhere.

There’s Catholic lodges, Pope JP II was a Freemason, its the Catholic Church ban it not the actual lodges.
I'm ancient but I remember Lodge P2 and all the connected Vatican shenanigans.

headline - Lets hold a Madeleine day for the whole world

Gerry Mccann 38, said: "One of the idea's is maybe getting all the people who have publicly supported us to come together, I don't mean from the UK but from different parts of the world. We want a big event to raise awareness that she is still missing. I think it would be later this year, once media attention has dropped, to bring it back up, hopefully, for a short period,
"it wouldn't be a one-year anniversary, it will be sooner than that, What were doing at the minute has it's role but doing that down the line in a few months, won't have anything like the same impact. We might've a sporting event, something arts, something music.

...... seems like he knew not to expect his Daughter back!

I think most sites are cautious because they know how litigious the McCann’s are/were.
You could never discuss them on Digital Spy either.
......... it makes you wonder whose money they used to enable them to become so litigious.

I believe there is a connection with KM and the mumsnet owner Justin ! Hence they are v pro them
yes quite possibly. I read something that she had a friend who is involved in some capacity with Mumsnet it was a local group in Leicester in 2007 and Ive been searching to see if I could find the info again, it was only the other day I read it and it named the friend in the article

Exactly, wouldn’t any parent hope it wouldn’t come to that , she’d be back by then

I've just been catching up with this thread. The new book sounds interesting, though again you wonder why he doesn't just take his evidence to the police rather than try to make money. Somewhere up thread is a discussion about the McCanns and co staging an accident/disposing of Madeleine's body to save their careers/lifestyle etc. I'm in the same business as them and am sure they would never have lost their careers for losing a child in an 'accident'. They could have glossed over the negligence part - look how quickly they got out of Dodge when questions about that were raised. As a motive to stage M's abduction it doesn't work. The GMC doesn't even strike off doctors who've accidentally killed their patients.

To be honest I don't think the Author's primary motive is to make money, he is already a self made man! the book is 800 pages long its a brick! why? he wants certain people to feel the weight of it! as for the Police maybe he has been in contact with them, his book took over 7 years for him to research, Operation Grange certainly know of it, as a retired British Police Officer made sure they were aware of the book's existence, the first half of the book deals with statement analyst he is the first person ever to dissect in great detail all their statements made by them and their friends and others found in the case files and TV appearances etc, the second part is his investigation he didn't just stake out one or two nights here and there it was huge and over a long time period, the new friends bit is extremely interesting
Im sure we will get to know more when he uploads many photographs and maybe video's he says he has on the website he has prepared

A few of years ago, when the documentary was on TV, it was noticed on a FB group it wasn’t trending on Twitter and somebody commented that there was a block on anything to do with McCann trending on any social media. Just makes me wonder who they know!

I think this is a big possibility, it would appear that you can discuss the abduction theory, we have to ask ourselves why? we all know the case files were released in 2008 and yet not one British Newspaper has tried to publish them or speak about them, Nothing is printed in the UK media unless it shows the McCann's in a favourable light! why has Operation Grange never went back to the start and re investigated the Parents, after all the Tapas crew were interveiwed again in May 2008, there are deffo some interesting details in amongst their um's er's and aw's oh and a long with what appeared to be a malfunction in the tape recording of one of their statements they made, bloody bad luck or convenience? is Operation Grange's mandate look here look there but don't look in a certain direction! Also the fund to find Madeleine (not a charity) was set up with the Great British public and other's world wide donating to how much of that money over the years has been spent on the McCann's legal fee's etc? one of the things that is really interesting is that's its been reported that there was a fighting fund set up for Amaral the Portuguese Detective who the McCann's fought for many years legally and LOST, British Policeman were seemingly contributing to a fighting fund set up to help Amaral by others

Such a shame that a detailed examination of all the statements etc wasn't done back when memories were fresh. I read Amaral's book with interest but found it lacking in this detail. A lot was his gut feeling, no doubt complicated by cultural differences eg he describes Gerry breaking down screaming and crying for help as strange, when it's probably the most understandable/likeable thing he's done! But yes, the reason we all still have that feeling of something being amiss here is because of all the little discrepancies which added together may reveal a bigger picture.

to be honest seemingly the Portuguese Police were put under a lot of Political pressure from the start, the UK government bodies that were sent out to PDL to assist the McCann's etc personal phone calls made to the McCann's from Gordon Brown, Cherie Blair, the set up of a Gold Steering/command Group? etc etc British Police who were sent out under the guise of assisting the Portuguese although Gerry McCann had access to their phone numbers and phone call's were made vice versa?( documented in the case files) the CEOP manuals that McCann had in his possession and found in the Villa that he should have had no access to, IMO one of the naive things the `Portuguese Police did was to send the DNA samples to the FSS in Birmingham, the with holding of the Gasper statements until the Mccann's were back in Blighty, the Red Flags would have been flying mighty high in September 2007 Portimao JP HQ,
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, were the British Police brought in to assist or de assist the investigation and if it was to de assist one wonders why!

Why would the UK government, Cherie Blair, Gordon Brown, the Forensic Science Service and the British Police conspire together to protect the McCanns?
Why exactly would professionals in a prestigious role collude and risk everything to protect 2x parents who had killed or concealed the death of their child?
What's in it for them to do this, they wouldn't do it for nothing. I've got to say It sounds completely crazy to me.
