Sid is away again in her newest video. I still feel like there's trouble brewing.

To me it just highlights how better of Sid is work wise. He seems to be away with work alot more, where as Lydia never got going as her job was YouTube and now she’s decided she doesn’t want that

also anyone else find it weird she calls the girl she live with her uni housemate. Rather than her actual friend?

Just skimmed through the latest video, and I'm getting the vibe that like many other sheltered youtubers who have never had a real job, Lydia has no idea what the job market is like. A lot of youtubers seem to be under the impression that they can just do youtube and then years later when their views go down or when they get bored of it they can simply go get a job in the field that they got a degree in when that is not the case in today's job market. Lydia really should have done an internship or two especially because she didn't have to worry about money so she could afford to take a low paying internship for the experience if needed

Sid has been working for an Australian travel company since his Leeds days. Sounds like he has moved in with a fella or girl in Melbourne, as he can work remotely from Sydney or anywhere (unless it's a new job or new project).

If Lydia secures a six-month work contract compatible with her visa, she can surely find a flatshare via all her new social contacts, when her short-term let ends. Better than being lonely, unless Sid does return and is serious about their relationship.

I was shocked too, but on their website he's one of three people listed as the team under their founder.

He obviously does quite a bit, but I'm surprised that if he has that job you think they'd have planned to go to Australia for more than 3 months initially. Or has he just been given the job. Sounds a bit confusing to me.

Yeah really weird. Makes sense why she’s now desperate to get a job and stay, I assume Sid told her he plans to stay and now she’s desperately trying to prove she wants to stay too

It could also be a frivolous title. Some companies give employees an important sounding title in lieu of better pay

I think it's good that she's applying broadly but I also think that with the money she was bringing in from YouTube and her degree, she should have prepared more for the possibility that she may not want to do YouTube forever. She was privileged enough that she shouldn't have to rush to take any and every job. I'm curious as to what changed that. I don't think it's as simple as she wants a job. I feel like you don't apply to odd jobs like receptionist and cleaner with a business degree unless you need the job for visa or money reasons. From what I understand, Lydia's passport allows her to stay in a lot of places without a visa so i suspect Lydia is getting low on money.

I think the rules are that from 1st July this year they won't need farm work, but I'm not 100%

I think that's the case. Sid does seem busy a lot or at least not in her vlogs, but Lydia seems like she doesn't really do much or hasn't made my friends.

Well it's all good news (from today's vlog). Her job hours are being increased from two to three days a week from May. She's started filming discretely from her office. She's still retained by her UK-based social media company.

The apartment move is in the pipeline, with her staying with "friends" during the short gap between tenancies. The new one is in the same area.

Sid makes fleeting cameo appearances. He paid for their sauna and ice bath "date" and it was his idea. I do wonder if he has met an Oz boyfriend, which would explain his frequent absence.

Lydia will be ready to move on to another country when her work visa expires. She should be able to live and work in any EU state, thanks to her dual-nationality. I wonder if mummy taught her Lithuanian. Are they on a 12-month working holiday visa?

Her social life does seem rather sad and empty, but she has made connections and may make friends with her new colleagues.

Agree, and this only serves to confirm that her life/she is totally dull and that she's never had job before.

Sid is away on a business trip yet again and so will miss the apartment move. Lydia said she is looking forward to decorating the new place to make it HER own.

There’s quite a scathing comment on her latest video about syd missing all the hard parts of their relationship and she was like that’s a wild assumption to have made.. she has no idea what she’s putting out there if she doesn’t understand why someone could think that. Her angle in the latest video is odd too

Well at least she's twisted Sid's arm to pay his share of their three months rent in advance, plus half the deposit/bond. So we might see him once in a while, in between all his "business trips". She also revealed they are on 3 year working holiday visas and they are no longer required to do "farm work". I expect they will stay for a year or more. Who wouldn't?
