I really like Lydia but this whole digital nomad this just *eye roll*. She's acting like she's moving out and starting a big whole new life abroad etc, but judging from her moving to Berlin vlog, they'll just stay in Berlin in a fully furnished posh apartment for 3 months and travel around. It's basically a long holiday and her "job" will be YouTube which is essentially her hobby. She won't be adjusting to a new work space, she doesn't even need to learn the language properly since they'll be where they are 3 months at a time.
Judging from her attitude during her uni years, I guess I was hoping that she'd turn out to be someone more than a bog standard 'my channel is my job now' studytuber. Easy money from youtube must be more attractive than getting a job literally anywhere else, which is understandable but it's so predictable.

I literally discovered her yesterday, but I was also an Erasmus student in Copenhagen so I thought it could be interesting to watch.
Her choice of places to visit is so basic, "A-bar" that she says was "amazing", is literally the trashiest, filled-with-tourists place. Her pronunciation of Danish places is atrocious as well, and her road trip (and renting a car!) made no sense. Hope she can immerse a little bit in the culture, and make some Danish friends (although it can be difficult!).
It's true that tickets from the UK are super super cheap, but it is definitely not environmentally friendly, and to have a boyfriend over all the time kinda defeats the purpose of going on "exchange" IMO. I kinda felt bad for her when she was belittling herself because she had a hard time adjusting to bike everywhere while the boyfriend could do it immediately. Girl, you do not need to act dumb to make a man feel better about himself.

Tbh I get this one from Lydia, she's only on her year abroad once and she should definitely be making the most of it by travelling. Despite the way Molly goes on, she will have other birthdays, and her 22nd isn't a particularly significant one to justify travelling back for.

I like Lydia as well! I like that she shows all aspects of student life, shows working out (without going overboard like Holly), shows doing uni work and revising (without going overboard like Ruby) and shows that not everything is positive all the time (like Jade) but also doesn’t just moan all the time like life is only out to get her (like Eve) lmao. Also I went to uni in Leeds and graduated 3 years ago and haven’t been back since so it’s nice to see and recognise places. I have no idea how she’s friends with Eve though. 
She's giving me Holly Gabrielle vibes in that she's claiming they've 'moved' to a new country and are proceeding to do nothing cultural. Like they're in Berlin and it doesn't look like they've done anything but sit in the flat and get coffee, so what's the point in going to Berlin? I'm not expecting them to be out and exploring every single day, but like have they even gone and seen the remains of the Berlin Wall yet?

She did explain that she’d gone back to Leeds for her mental health, which is allowed, if you were paying all that money and had exams (she had 3 or 2 can’t remember) you want to be at uni, you can go back to uni for simple things like having a better WiFi connection or not having a desk at home, people’s perceptions of things are all relative

Is anyone else a little bit worried/concerned by how full-on Lydia has been with this new relationship? I just watched her most recent video and I can’t help but feel like she’s investing a lot into it while ignoring other aspects of her life. Like how she went back to Nottingham to see her family but couldn’t do it without Sid there, or how she’s missing her brother and sister’s birthdays to go to Scotland with Sid, despite not seeing her siblings all year. Or even how she was leaving her Leeds house yet there wasn’t a single mention of leaving her housemates or any kind of moving away meal/party, especially since she won’t see them next year while on her year abroad and they’ll all have presumably graduated when she’s back in Leeds. Idk I just feel like she’s dropping lots of other things for this relationship and while that’s great if she’s happy and it works out, I’d hate to see them break up and she’s isolated herself from everyone else.

He didn’t seem too excited when he found out where they were going, but maybe that was just awkwardness (I never react properly when opening presents in front of people). But then at the end when they were talking about how they couldn’t fully appreciate it / he said he wouldn’t want to spend any longer there, I felt bad. I know Lydia said the same things but she paid for it. If my partner treated me to going to Vienna I would love every second and be so grateful! I haven’t seen his video though so not sure if he’s more positive in that one
Yeah Sid is the big thing in my opinion. I really liked the Scotland vlogs, but I don't like him and the way he makes fun of her constantly. I do genuinely hope she doesn't lose herself in a relationship to a boy who constantly negs her.

I genuinely like Lydia but not sure about this new bf... some parts of that new video were fairly cringey!
Making her story about loosing her periods/potentially unhealthy food and exercise relationships into an AD for unrelated product and not even linking any support resources or places to look for help doesnt sit right with me. If she does have this unhealthy relationship why include so much of her foods and exercise intake in vlogs!

I know! It’s “Sid this”, “Sid that” in almost every post, and they’re doing a Q&A video about their relationship soon

Is that because she has no personality and is boring AF? Her study videos worked because she was working towards her qualifications and it was an interesting journey that she knew how to document. She doesn't seem able to tell stories outside of studying. Her vlogs when she was in Copenhagen weren't great and since she's graduated they've just been dull. Anyone who can make Copenhagen, Berlin and Sidney look dull fully deserves to be let go by their management.
