If she’s on a working holiday visa like me, you can only work for one employer for a period of six months before you have to work for a different employer/company. I’m not sure why she’s framing it as being a free spirit, it’s just the restrictions of the visa lmao

Lydia has always thought she was special
That's true, she thinks she is better/smarter than everyone else.
Watching her newest video and I feel like she has fallen into the trap that a lot of influencers her age have especially studytubers. She was talking about how when interviewing with a potential client she didn't have any stats/KPIs ready to showcase her work and that she was struggling to remember her own stats off of the top of her head. These are things that every undergraduate student should learn before they graduate. Even if you aren't a freelancer you need to be able to present your resume or portfolio in a way that is meaningful and ideally with numbers. Influencers often skip this step in adulting because they have been running their own channel and they never think they need to develop the skills to get a job or run a proper business while the money is flowing. Lydia's channel has declined and now if she wants the money to keep rolling in she has to help other people run their social media, but she doesn't even know how to present herself properly to clients. It's so foolhardy to boast about being an influencer for 8 years and not have your own portfolio or website showcasing your work.
She suffers from being chronically boring which is a major hindrance to her too.

I haven't caught up with her vlogs since April, I thought she left Australia but apparently they are back, after randomly traveling for a while? I liked her content when she was in the UK but sadly I couldn't care less about her "marketing girlie" life in Sydney. She seems happy though.

Her sister Emma has arrived from the UK, and is living with Lydia and Sometime Sid. Looking for a job in a coffee shop. She seems normal and doesn't speak slowly like Lydia. I'm pleased she's back on YouTube. I've missed her regular updates. Whenever I visit Leeds, I fondly recall her student days.
Does her sister share the same chronic boringness that afflicts Lydia or is she at least moderately interesting?
It's too early to know. She might be a Lydia clone, but I suspect she has more self-awareness and doesn't think she is perfect. I still remember, when Lydia was considering her future after graduation, she said that in England only London or Manchester would be suitable for her, and certainly not Leeds.

They still follow eachother on insta but he’s deleted all photos of her. If you go to the grad pic he posted on the 3rd Sept 2023, its obvious by the caption there was a picture of them two together on it but now there isn’t.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they have had to end it due to her visa running out! And him having one which means he can stay
