You opened your account last Tuesday and posted in the last thread but your first post didn't indicate that it was your first, so we wouldn't necessarily clue in.

You seem to have been offended when a long-time member pointed out some clarifications to your first posts. Funny how every time someone comes into this thread accusing us of wasting our lives talking about Lydia, they’re actually the ones wasting their own time. If we’re having a laugh and having fun, what’s the big issue? Seems like it’s no skin off our backs. No one has to be here if they don’t want to be. I don’t think anyone here is trying to change Lydia’s behaviour. I have always felt, even on GG, that the people in this thread are very intelligent and observant, and it’s refreshing to know that I’m not alone in seeing someone’s bullshit.

For example, if I’d only read the comments on Lydia’s first flogmas video, I’d have thought she was quite the saint! But reading here I’ve gained more insight into the other kinds of things that we can do to support charitable causes beyond making a spectacle of ourselves for clicks.

So Lydia is going to preach to everyone about donating but looking at the link I can’t see any donations from her or Ali or any of her ‘friends’ despite the page being active for a few weeks. Her friend Alex shared the link of Facebook a few weeks ago but didn’t even donate lol.

Rant incoming! I truly cannot believe how tone deaf this video is. I can see why Carrie and Lydia are friends now, they’re both dumb as duck. Instead of bringing an important cause to light, maybe talking about statistics, where people can donate care packages or actually something relevant to homelessness, they spent the whole time laughing and joking? Making it a competition because they were the best kitted up? Making a joke if Carrie “needed help” because of her pillow. Taking bleeping selfies. Moaning they didn’t buy a pack of cards. Surrounded by alcohol and music? That is not a homeless experience AT ALL. I thought it would be one of the ones where you actually sleep on the street, you know, not in hundreds of pounds of nice warm clothing. It all seemed like a fun little night out for the pair of them and it sickens me. They truly have no idea what life is like outside of their little “upper class” ( as Lydia would like to think ) bubble. And even worse, her little minions are praising her. Jesus Christ.

Final thought: This attempt at Lydiots being charitable reminds me so much of Sarah's Day attempt at donating a dollar of each purchase of her product to the wildfire victims over a 48 hour period, when her products cost between 16-60$. That completely backfired and she felt like the victim in when everyone saying how puny her donations were. They both have stupid amounts of gifted money and crap and their PR stunts to make them look so good, wholesome, and charitable fall so tone deaf and out of touch. As they both very well are.

I have no doubt in my mind that if Lydiot hasn't already recorded all of her "Christmas with the Millen-Gordons" (Bc we all knew she couldn't handle or have enough content for 1 video, editing, and uploading a day for 25 days) videos yet she will address that people thought this wasn't enough and turn it around into her being a victim of online bullying when she was "just trying to do a good thing" once again.

I haven’t watched the new vlog, but honestly even the idea of it and the recaps I’ve read here leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Adventure hair? Sleeping rough with snacks, drinks, and staying under a roof? Donating some Adsense? Giggling around like it’s a sleepover? Wow. This is beyond low. And I thought twerking for domestic violence charities was bad.

The basic idea of calling attention to the conditions some people have to survive in on the streets is a great one. How could it have gone so so so badly? Staggering. Nothing ever gets thought out and fully executed well. Consistency seems impossible - the only consistency is that it isn’t. Ugh.
