Maybe that Thermomix is a great piece of kit - I’ve no idea - but it just seems to me that throwing the ingredients into a machine for a risotto is the opposite of what a risotto is about. You are supposed to hover over the saucepan for at least twenty minutes adding small amounts of stock/white wine to arborio rice and lovingly stirring it all the while. This is why I rarely make it any more - don’t have the patience! Her’risotto’ looks like porridge and is it the only thing she cooks?

She thinks her forte is pasta - the very thing that every teenager or student can whip up
She also does a mean yogurt & strawberry compote
Don‘t forget her great ability to chop green bits (lettuce, spinach or anything snot coloured), add cheese nuts and then drown in balsamic glaze
Then there is cucumber & hummus - she does that really swanky professional thing - what is it - oh yeh add a pinch of salt
Personally I’m most impressed by her fork action on the cellophane of a ready meal
Once the outside kitchen is done, she will be an expert pizza chef & try a little oneupmanship with what Vic & Fleur have. Dominos are already working on special new topping to beat her to the market - mange tout, courgette & cucumber with a lemon dressing oh yum!

I hope in the five year plan they leave a little space near the front door - that’s where I think she should put her Millen Michelin Star

What we are seeing is her legendary stubbornness in display, obtusely refusing to admit to her own wrong doing. Her response to that commenter is very teenager like. Obtuse and belligerent passive aggressiveness. This is how she controls those around her. She gaslights the masses, never takes accountability, rewrites everything to favour herself and truly believes she is not culpable of any wrong doing. In her head her bullying actions were merited. Let that sink in.

I could easily blame her upbringing, after all the philistine can't even get through a meal without looking like a savage. But times are different. The availability of self-help, decorum/etiquette books, and therapists means anyone choosing to continue on a self serving path, blithely leaving very real victims in their wake is just plainly a horrible person by choice.

That is what Lydia of House Tryhard is. A materialistic, vapid, bull dozer that cares only about herself. She attracts the same energy she gives out which is why she and Carrie are thick as thieves. And why Ali has changed so much. He has pledged himself to the same energy in an effort to reap the financial rewards of their faux life of luxury because he is as deeply vain as she is.

What those close to her don't seem to realize, Ali in particular, is that Lydia will always twist things to make them look bad. Down to their clothing. Ali has never looked nor dressed worse. He may drive an Aston, but he is a laughing stock as far as "style" goes. No amount of linen, Hermés "slandals", douchy pendants or "squishing the critics" can change that.

My opinion of Ali was to always give him the benefit of the doubt. The sickly sweet, emasculated guy, hard done by his domineering, attention-seeking, pushy and vain wife. However, my opinion of him changed when, around the time of the Black Lives Matter protests, a subscriber criticised him about something (can't remember what exactly), he then labeled this criticism a "microaggression" against him.
With all that was going on in the world at that time, the fool did not understand nor educate himself, of the meaning of the term "microaggression". These days, we know sweet, kind Ali is a mere facade, a PR manoevure, a manipulation to get ahead in the Land of Influencers. Sweet poison ivy.

I’ve wondered about this all along because I don’t think a lot of the real ones look particularly well-stitched.

Frankly, I don’t know how anyone can justify the price tag from a store never mind the re-sellers when they’re so sloppy. It’s absolutely baffling to me - and I love wasting money!

If Lidl was really into Hermes she would be in their shops all the time, buying the latest shoes, other bags, home wear … most of her stuff is fake, that is why she avoids Hermes shops like the plague! Oh wait, lidl visits Hermes this week to celebrate the 60000 step walk

Her comments about the Jazz Festival - pathetic - literally all she said was Diana Ross lost her luggage and didn't have many dresses and got her grandchildren on stage. If you are there as a guest you are supposed to be promoting the place and the event, why not say how long the festival runs for, that it is every year, who it attracts, size of venue, hospitality there, ticket prices - you know, useful information people might need if they are thinking of going there! She is so lazy it is beyond a joke now - I guess Ali's flog will be more informative, but whose gig is this, is must be his, as she is making it obvious she's just there for Nick and the booze!

Literally everyone else has better content than her - just comparing others from that trip to Montreux and you can see - check out her new mate the LA way - Lauren who she was gushing over in her vlog - she has a tab on her insta for the trip and her content is really good!

Well, it was very interesting. She didn’t want to give Longines too much of a mention but the prestige of being part of their brand trip in the past was relevant ‘in the home of watches’ ie she didn’t want to leave it out but she was reluctant to leave it in because she didn’t want to give a brand that dumped her any - ahem - plug on her vlog but the cachet of the brand she still in a way wanted to be associated with.

She had to justify travelling there before so felt forced to reveal the brand but just as quickly to diss them because this one was the best ever - her MO never changes - applaud one to kick another in the face. She liked the mention of Longines but she is sore about being dumped so she is over exaggerating the Fairmont trip as being so far superior to any earlier experience, ie Longines. She is endlessly bitter and constantly fuming at being dumped by brands - she rearranges the narrative every time - and this time it is all about Fairmont.

I'm glad your doctor is following up and doing all he needs to. I'm glad it is caught and now treatment can begin. Hang in there.

Many on this thread have gone through so much loss and difficulty the last couple of years. I am just glad that we all found each other and can offer a daily dose of distraction, support and humour to each other.
