I have an irrational hatred of sleep consultants. I think it’s so shit to prey on sleep deprived mums.

If you know the secret to getting babies to sleep then just share it rather than charging £50 for a piece of paper and no actual support.

But anyone with sense could see what the advice will be, and it’s completely different to that of any health professional. I have a 14 month old, some times he sleeps through, sometimes he doesn’t. But he’s never ever been left to cry and he never will be because he’s only little for such a short period of time and I want him to not cry because he feels safe and secure, not because it’s pointless as no one comes.

Yes yes yes! I’ve a 3 year old and a 15month. I hate sleep consultants too. I’ve never left either of them to cry at night. It’s cruel. I never put routines in place either for feeding or sleeping. My 3 year old goes to bed at 7.30 great now and sleeps all night. My 15month is still awake a lot but it’s only a short period of time. I miss night cuddles with my 3 year old. I’m so sick of celebs and sleeps consultants and routines some babies sleep some don’t. Do we as adults sleep the same pattern every night and eat in the same pattern every day?! So I don’t see why we enforce it on a baby. You are a parent for 24 hours a day. It doesn’t stop at 7pm-7am!!

I noticed that the bouncer/rocker chair by Jolie that Lucy was advertising in her latest post, is the same brand as the car seat Lydia was advertising in one of her latest grid pics...... coincidence?!
Hate that these influencers get so much stuff for free when they could buy it. Also, this is the 3rd type of chair Ive seen Roman use....how many were freebies ?!

Ahhhh I remember those days so well... Bless you I spent many times on my phone figuring out HOW TO GET HIM TO SLEEEEEEEEP ... Which is why I find it so dangerous for people to just put things out there sometimes (especially influencers) but alas I was not willing to let our lad cry it out so I just figured hey ho... What will be will be... I NEVER thought it would end but it really does get easier and.... Weirdly... I miss all the extra cuddles ... You got this mamas!!!

Genuinely don’t know how people can let their baby cry and cry. It’s bad enough when they’re in your arms and they won’t settle for whatever reason never mind actually choosing to leave them to cry...

Just shocking advice isn’t it! I really don’t think she wants to actually breastfeed. You can almost predict that in a few weeks, she’ll post saying that she’s gutted she can see she’s not producing enough milk for Roman, but it’s ok because LOOK Tommee Tippee (other brands are available ) have kindly #gifted a Perfect Prep machine so we can use that now! And swipe up to get yours!
(ps I’m happy to be proved wrong if she does manage to start feeding normally, I just really think she doesn’t want to but doesn’t feel she can say it!)

Lucy’s posted today about struggling with motherhood and mental health in lockdown, and I have to say it’s quite brave. There are going to be the frustrating “yeah well you have money and a partner at home you’re better off than xyz” squad, but just because you have money doesn’t mean you don’t have problems. I like her honesty.

I think she has been very brave to admit she is struggling.

Made me laugh today she commented when a midwife said her figures surrounding gestational diabetes was incorrect she said she had the information from a fitness expert lol. I think a midwife knows a little more than a personal trainer. You would think she is the only pregnant woman ever. Talk about cashing in!

Flowers because your baby isn't sleeping. I've seen it all now. What next, a box of chocolates because they did a big poo? I understand that sleep deprivation is hard (I have a 3-month-old myself, I am in the midst of it!) but these struggles are hardly unique. She's acting like it's a tragedy and that Roman is difficult and challenging rather than just a completely normal baby doing what babies do.

Have been checking her stories waiting for her to get some free dairy free treats after her pure beggy post the other day looking for 'recommendations' for dairy free stuff aka on the hunt for some freebies and lo and behold, here she is with the Whole Foods gift (not tagged as gifted though...)

She's on the beg for a parasol now "any parasol recommendations" how about Google parasol like a normal person and see what adverts pop up. It's so transparent that they are on the beg and not looking for "recommendations" and the fact a lot of these "influencers" have made seperate 'Home accounts' so they can beg away without ruining the aesthetics of their 'look at me' normal insta pages. How any mum can beg for stuff for their own child rather than buy it themselves, esp with her money is just shocking and shameful.
