Not the same but when I was in hospital they gave me some morphine which should of knocked me out but I'm ginger so need more then most people my size. A second nurse had to be with the 1st one to administer the top up.

Does having red hair make a difference in drug administration amounts? I've honestly never heard of that. Is it a genetic thing linked to red hair that affects how the body processes something?

No. Insulin is not a controlled drug therefore it isn’t signed in and out of a book. It is double checked on drawing up & administration

No not controlled. However it should be when it needs to be double checked for administration.

You can see that double checking could easily slip if you're short staffed and busy.

It’s heartbreaking . If she did do it it says she killed one of the twins sibling that’s not just hospital tailings that’s deliberate

Those with nurse/insulin knowledge, what’s the likelihood of human error/incompetence if it was prescribed and the wrong dose given? Is this basic 101 stuff for nurses or could it be possible to make repeated mistakes if the hospital failures meant there were no 2 nurse checks?

I highly doubt human error for the amount of babies

Omg the two babies who were poisoned with insulin we're each a twin from separate families - they were saved

Then one of the other twin siblings was killed too - this is SICK

Oh god it's horrific...those poor kids and their parents, this is utterly heartbreaking already

God if this is proven and she did do it, how horrific. Injecting air to cause an embolous just can't be accidental surely?!

I also have red hair and I have been told this before too. I am not sure if its an officially researched opinion but have been told both by doctors and dentists that I need more anaesthetic than is usually required and they've seen this a lot in people of my complexion!

I think she would have been ‘attacking’ them when no one else was around her so there wouldn’t have been any checking of doses.
